I love my quik-lok trimmer. The Ego power shovel attachment can be used with it after a very minor modification as well, which is great in the winter.

 

My neighbor had a Dewalt that seems similar. 20V I think. It's really torquey when pressing and releasing the trigger. Smooth once running. The Milwaukee seems smoother with similar power.

 

my dad has a dewalt version, not sure what exact.. not a flex volt model.. I have lot of dewalt batteries and tools without issue.. My issue was with line trimmer itself, my fathers experience plus numerous reviews, the trimmer head they designed and line feed mechanism is trash.. that’s what led me to the Milwaukee!

 

The only Milwaukee tool I bought that I’ve had a problem with is the weed whacker. It was the cats ass until one day it stopped working. I wasn’t using it. I went to use it and it didn’t do anything. It was a few years old. I took it apart and looked to see if something came loose or maybe wire was toasted. I got tired of messing with it and stuffed it in the garage. Then can made up a batch of ground clear and went weed whacking with the liquid weed eater. Don’t let the weed whacker ruin your experience with the red tools. In my opinion it’s the worst one Milwaukee makes.

 

Love mine, even the included string works well.

Just used it earlier to clear the whole backyard.

 

We make sure we store the weed whacker 'motor up'. Had it for years. Works great.

Ahh hopefully this one last awhile.. I’d think my level of use will be even a bit less than average but fingers crossed.


I don’t think lawn implements are necessarily the wheelhouse for any of these more traditional tool companies.. but no I’m a fan of Milwaukee, we use it at work!

 

No issues with mine 2 years in. Have the weed whacker and hedge trimmer attachments. Just bought the brush cutter to tackle a particularly neglected corner of the yard, haven’t tried it out yet.

Finally picked up an M18 brushless 6.5” circular saw as well, long overdue. Gotta build a new trailer deck. Should arrive today.

 

I got the edger attachment free @ Home Depot right now! The brush cutter and hedge trimmer were a little unnecessary for my home!

 

One of these days I’ll probably get the new dual battery one if it has a decent combo sale with a good pair of batteries. It’s part of the buy more sale but I’m not really needing anything. Although the new sub compact M12 impact and drivers are kinda peeking my interest. They are kinda niche though. I mean how often would it be handy Vs just figuring out something else that would work.

 

We use Milwaukee almost exclusively at my work (HVAC/Plumbing). Definitely go FUEL. Both 12v and 18v are good at their respective tasks. I love my 12v impact for it's size and weight. It will handle 80% of what the 18v would but is so much nicer if using all day.

That said their hand tools suck compared to other professional grade. Knipex for the win on most things hand tools.

 

Knipex, Wera, and Nepros are all nice hand tools.

I like the Wera screw drivers.

They always get you with the battery! We have one of these, but I honestly never use it. I like the Rigid plug in for wet/dry. If you need a battery option this would likely be the ticket though.

Yesterday at work a buddy real quick let me feel a few punches? Cuts? with m12 16ga nibbler tool, how effin cool!! I think it is fairly new, I probably dont work with enough metal as such to ever have one but badass!!!

Don’t know exactly how much wood I cut but I was thoroughly impressed with the run time on 8.0 Ah battery.. my brother has a gas power top handle saw and I don’t feel like I’m missing much.. granted it’s not a stihl pro saw or something but for the price and on the battery platform two thumbs up!!!!

So this is all I wanna do now…

again not really keeping track of cordage for battery life but this was really green maple and wild cherry some cuts up to like 10in diameter.. took bout half charge on 8.0, including making those that length down the bank then firebox size there… no problems it’s so sick haha
