2008 tacoma 2.7 engine mounts

2008 Tacoma 2.7 4x4 5 speed

Today I took the car to the workshop to replace the engine mounts ( I don’t have an engine jack to jack the engine so I didn’t want to take a risk damaging something) after removing the old ones and about putting the new mounts he said they don’t fit perfectly and there is a gap anyway when I saw the mounts ( left and right they are not the same ) but the new that I got from rockauto they are identical

What was wrong with the old mounts?

They don't appear to be broken.

 

no they started cracking i can feel it specially when i turn off the engine beside since I bought the car I haven’t replace them

 

I doubting when I replaced the engine they install for me wrong mounts cause one side of the engine has dropped down compared to the older engine i realized that cause the air intake bracket which should be screwed to the engine valve cover somehow is not reaching to be tightened down and the engine fan is almost touching the radiator cover from the bottom

 

After searching I found out that one of the mounts ( the different one ) is exactly the same as Toyota Hilux engine mount

 

Maybe when I replaced the engine I got a Toyota Hilux 2.7 2tr engine! Cause I bought Japanese engine, If that so do I have to get hilux engine mounts instead of tacoma mounts?

 

No ideas?

 

I got nothing...
