My favorite was walking past the lines at the grocery store and going right in because i was there working and then the store would let me shop as well lol

 

COVID was fun

Still worked, making good money and didn't do much of anything

Plus certain annoying employees were gone because they decided they didn't want to work so we let them go

 

Reminds me of when I was a scab during a grocery store strike here when I was 18 or 19. My friends and I didn't have any clue or care as to why the poor workers were striking, we just heard the stores were offering $30/hour (in 2003) to come and stock shelves at night.

We had to sneak our way in to avoid getting accosted by the workers. Not my proudest moment but hey, a couple hundred dollars a night back then for a kid was good easy money

 

we had a few people that refused to come back in because LA county healthy dept was still saying not to, never did see them again.

 

People would get so mad as i walked pass the lines and the store just let me in. Then the poor person at the door would have to explain why to the person inline

 

Sort of a blessing too, people you didn't really have a reason to fire/let go. Once business slowed down, the expendable employees just walked out anyway.

They've been cracking down (even years later now) and arresting people that took advantage of those COVID relief/payouts.

 

As they fucking should, Rebecca had a hell of a time getting the financial help she needed for her studios being closed for a year+ because fuckers out there were taking advantage or straight up committing fraud. My dad's identity was stolen and used for massive PPP loans

 

No shit, they were tough on business owners only offering loans yet giving away thousands and thousands of dollars to dirtbags with kids that left an entry level position

You're talking Walmart check out or Starbucks order takers, like damn

Crazy your dad got his shit stolen, you would've thought banks would've slowed down on consumer lending

 

Unrelated note, Retro Fighters recently came out with a new controller for the PC/Dreamcast/Switch

Excited to try it out once it's done charging



Needed something more traditional for my fighting games cause the regular controller sucks for that

Gonna have to cue up all those boiled chicken recipe videos we've run into for people with no taste palette

 

I think that depends on the area you get the deer. Lots of places don't recommend raw venison. The butcher shop here likes to hang it in their cooler for a month to reduce pathogens

Yeah idk, all i know is when my wife’s family shoots a deer they come back that day and butcher it and serve some of it that day. Sometimes making raw dishes

but they say never to eat bear any other way then well done
