So I found this on my 2022 sr with the sx package, this truck didn’t come with fog lights, but has the spot to put them. This looks like some kind of connector for possibly them, as it has a “seal”, or cap maybe, that plugs into it and does nothing. Like a place holder. Any ideas?

Also, totally unrelated, but I have aftermarket LED tail lights, as of a couple days ago, the actual tail light part stopped working. Fuses are fine, brakes, reverse lights, blinkers, and tag lights all work fine. Pointers?

Are tail lights and brake lights the same bulb?
    Both sides or just 1?
Like most similar posts the bulb/bulbs probably needs to be replaced.

This seems to be directly in front of the battery and may be for one of the headlight options. I have mine all covered up with extra batteries, but memory says there is a major Ground connection there and a CAN Bus connector there as well. The black connector below the connector in question with one wire is the Starter wire. My real bet is on the CAN Bus connector or some after-market connector. Many of the CAN wires are blue and white. Most all Grounds on the vehicle are White with a Black tracer.

Fog light connector is a two-wire connector located in the center of the grill frame area if you have one. Wire colors are Green AND White with a Black tracer.

No input to your second question.

They actually have no bulbs, so the light has wires that come out of each bulb spot, and at the end of the wire, is a connector similar to what’s on the end of the bulb, that connects to the factory harness. My fault for not clarifying that ‍♂️

That’s correct. The aftermarket tail light itself comes with wires out hanging out of the back of it that have a bulb like connector that plugs into what the bulbs would normally plug into on the factory harness, thus transferring power from vehicle to light fixture

that’s correct both sides are not working and as far as opening the housing, I believe it can be opened, but I haven’t done that because I’m not very familiar with how it works

There is a 7.5A fuse for the tails under the dash. Check that fuse.

I’ve already did that and the fuse appears to be good. Haven’t put a multimeter on it yet, but will do soon

Three whites, a pink, a red and a blue wire should be on the connector in the first picture. If so that is indeed CAN. Mine is still taped to the harness. That “cap” on the connector is a shorting bar. Splices the three CAN pairs together.

I'd start by replacing the fuse with a brand new fresh one instead of messin around.
