I have been driving for a few weeks now. Yesterday's trip was just over an hour one way. Went over the bay bridge a week ago last Tuesday and the high winds had me with a 40 min stop and go to get across the bridge. So far no issues or anything uncomfortable. The plan is to take a break every 2 hours and we have a hotel room 1/2 way into the trip.

Welcome to the I Can't Find it When I Look Right at It club. I am a charter member.

Good Morning. Last day for PT at the PT center. Home PT will continue. Making bean soup today and planting flower seeds.

My daughter says there are a lot of kids going back to books. I doubt it... but then I'm old and might never notice, eh?

    Good morning.
Hazy sunshine and cool (for us) today.
Playing Hand & Foot (a card game using 6 decks) is one way to pass the time.

My Betty made me a leather messenger book bag to carry my Bible and papers to church. Very nice all hand made with the softest leather. I think she did a really good job on this for only her second bag. I just have to show it off, lol.

I love the look and feel of this soft leather.
    20250424_181706.jpg
Outside pocket, rivets where needed for strength. I do the rivets for her.
    20250424_181712.jpg
My old bag I could barely get my Bible in and out. This has much more room for other books and papers, inside pocket too.

    Leather wrapped carry handle.

Im secure in my manhood to cary a murse, lol. All hand sewn. Shew has to make me a shoulder strap yet, but I like the vary handle.

    Evening all:

Bag looks good Greg, she can sew a heck of a lot straighter than I can, but I patch mainly hunting stuff and the deer don't care!
She must have a pretty decent sewing machine to be able to sew leather.

She does have some big machines but this one was all sewn by hand.

Used to enjoy Wambaugh. My standout book from my youth is Richard Brautigan, "Confederate General in Big Sur"
John Steinbeck, I think I've read everything that he wrote. Hemingway is a great read. I used to read all the time.
Somehow just got out of the habit. Maybe someday again?!

To carry your Bible to Church? OK, you get a pass.
Visited a friend in New Zealand a few years back, he had a bag....I introduced he and the New Zealand language to the word "Murse"
