One of the best tools I've found in these scenarios is to let them go off and leave the silence hang just looking at em. More often than not in the moments between the person that lost their shit will start to think about what they said and either back track or try to rephrase in a way that gets to the root of what really upset them.

Especially if it's in front of other people. I'm a super and if I need to have that chat it's one on one. Next time try repeating his words back to him. So this is what you are saying to me? Sounds to me like your 'boss' needs an inservice on effective communication and motivating your employees..

Come to find out what he was ranting about this morning ended up being his fault. When I left the shop yesterday at 3pm I made sure everything was locked up trucks and shed. I did not know he went back to work on one of the trucks and he forgot to lock the shed up. But because he was pissed off that one of the other guys license got suspended and didn't tell him. He found out this morning the guy has been driving his truck for the past month on a suspended license.

 

Me barking back is the reason I lost my last job. But man I was pissed off this morning ended realizing I forgot my damn phone charge for the work phone. Just about made it to the end of the day before the phone died. I got home and little after 730. Was a long day but after that mishap this morning ended up being a good day.

 

It all worked out!

Man I never really have the motivation to mow the lawn but the instant satisfaction after doing is worth it.

 

Do you have a push mower or ride on ?

 

I usually enjoy it , I have a rider for 75% then push the front part. It's looks great now , but once summer hits I get summer grass(some here some there)

 

What’s everyone have going on this weekend ?

 

Not sure what Saturday will bring. Considering Spring Carlisle car show or run over to Oley for the Antique Motorcycle meet. Sunday I have to go meet my sister and we're going to visit our brother. He suffered a stroke in Fall 2023 and will never fully recover. He's back in a rehab center again and we fear his time may be limited. Much as it pains me that may be the most merciful thing for him.

 

Got a rider, had to jump it with the Taco, its got 450 hours on it and leaks oil out the valve covers. It owes me nothing, I've been real hard to it over the years, I'll replace it when it dies

 

Since its gonna rain tomorrow, Naps with the dogs sound good

 

I just got home from work and nap sounds good. Not with the dogs though. They are too rambunctious this time during the day. My shep would not allow me too.


And i refuse too buy a new table these assholes chewed it up. Every corner on it is chewed on.

 

When I lay down the dogs are just like cool naptime and lay down with me.
