That reminds me… I forgot to post my moron report last night
So IT guy is working on getting everything set up for me. He says he needs access to my computer here at home and get it set up to connect to the new computer at the office. I give him the team viewer info that allows him to do that. He logs in and I see him moving the cursor and getting to work on what he needs to do.
I see he closes MS Teams. <—- important detail there. Pay attention.
So I’m sitting here doing nothing because he’s got my computer here tied up.
And I’m waiting. And waiting. And waiting some more. I get my Kindle and start reading a book.
one of my coworkers texts me on my work cell and asks if I’m here.
Yes but IT guy is doing stuff so if you need anything from me you’re out of luck.
She texts back that it was the IT guy asking her to reach out to me because he wasn’t getting a response from me.
On Teams.
The program that he closed.
So I get on the computer and open Teams.
Lisa I need X password
Lisa are you there?
Can you enter the password?
Lisa?

FOR TWO FREAKING HOURS! HE WAS SENDING ME MESSAGES ON THE PROGRAM THAT HE CLOSED! AND SINCE HES ON MY COMPUTER HE CAN SEE WHAT IS OR IS NOT VISIBLE ON MY SCREEN!

FOR. TWO. FREAKING. HOURS.

 

are you applying for the IT position? I feel you may be over qualified.
also, my new computer is dead. didn't even last a day. or a half day.

meh. camped in too much open range land growing up. the cows don't phase me. they only piss me off when they move into my camp and shit on everything.

yeah. its gotten crazy with so many poeople moving to town. and lots of bad people.
the fire dept had to close a station because they can't hire enough guys to work. PD is also short staffed. cost of living is so high that even those types of jobs that typically pay well aren't enough.
4 shootings wihin 3 or 4 blocks of my old place including the one that was in my old apartment all since i left. not sayingthat it was trouble free while i was there but its gone way down hil and i'm glad i'm gone from there.

 

you would think.
the city's idea of affordable housing is $2000 studios or $3500 for a 3 bed house. for rentals. average home prices are nearing $700k. or the cheapest option over there right now is a subdivision that is all new double wide modular homes. They're going for $240k to $290k PLUS an $850 lot rent so you're looking at $3k/month right there. I had actually looked into that before I moved but once I saw the lot rent in the fine print that pushed that option out for me.
