What Have You Done To Your 4th Gen Today?

As others mentioned, you have to buy a cross member and install it. It was pretty simple. There are two recovery points up front, the bolts holding them are temporarily removed and the cross member is installed on the hooks using the bolts again. Then, the skid plate has a front mounting point on the bar.

Awesome. Is that the CaliRaised light bar setup? This is the probably the last mod I want to have done, but I don’t want to pull the bumper myself.

 

Yes it is. I did not install it myself. But talking to the shop that did it, they said it went pretty well without removing the active radiator flaps. They said they just had to make sure everything thing cleared. They were impressed with the fit.

 

The light bar is from Cali Raised, and the amber fog lights are stickers I put over the top of them.

 

did you buy the OEM cross member or aftermarket like the RCI one?

/Nevermind, looks like my sport hybrid already has the front cross member.

 

I installed mine on Tuesday, and despite everyone saying it sounds the same, I agree with you that the sound is different. I too am holding onto my old pipe and resonator until I drive it a bit more, but to my ears the sound with the dump is definitely different...I'm still undecided about whether I like it or not.

 

Gave Yoda a much needed bath after a trip from Georgia to Central New York and back.

 

Did my freeway commute today. Could barely tell a difference at speed. No droning or resonance that I noticed. It’s most noticeable just off idle. But it’s not much change.

 

Since I went from a long bed to a short bed, I had to trim the uprights for my target stands from 6' to 5'. I could have fit them in there diagonally but they pack in nicer this way.

 

you have to buy an aftermarket cross member. I believe the stock bars are welded.

 

I added some Amazon 3M sticky letters to the tailgate and had a quarter full can of rattle high heat black in the garage. Got rid of most of the paint on the tail pipe.

 

It's all lookin good except for the G stuck in your hitch.

Replacing the sports bar with a more useful overland rack. Still shopping around...

It should be a crime to put a plate looking like that on a new truck. Fricking Wisconsin DMV issues new plates every ten years and mine fell apart after 9 years. Oh well.

 

The Hybrid models come with the factory welded on cross member, I looked under my truck and confirmed.

 

Forgot the button for the light bar on the left hand side of the steering wheel and my gag buttons on the center council.
