They put heaters on the fork tubes before the race so the fork oil isn’t cold. o_O

Sexton wins out to win championship. My bold and very unlikely prediction.

Loving the 3pm EST races. I also prefer the day races over the night shows.

Seems perfectly likely to me. He's making you look good so far.

And I hope he continues to do so.

Caught the replay tonight. Love to see Hammaker finally doing it. Love to see Chase put on an ass whoopin. Glad Barcia is ok. Hope Hymas is good. Onto the Burgh.

Just heard Jerry Robin is paralyzed from the belly button down from his crash on timed practice yesterday :(

    From RacerX:

This morning, he posted the following update:

“Well this is a tough one to write. Had to get T3-T9 fused yesterday after that crash. The 3 into that rhythm was huge and no room for error and unfortunately when I was putting my foot back on the peg the tip of my boot caught my rear brake pedal just barely. Was enough to not make it and with how steep the transitions were it threw my forward, landed head first into the next 3 footer and instantly went paralyzed. As of now I’m belly button down paralyzed, surgeon was able to completely straighten my spine which is a huge positive and there was some fragments that they got out of my spinal cord and they had some they had to leave in there. We will see what this journey brings im hopeful I can walk again, going to be a hell of a tough road and I’ll just have to stay as positive i can, thank you so much to everyone that reached out I really am thankful for all of the love and support. Tough to make a tiny mistake like that and have my life change in the blink of an eye. Was riding really good this year but unfortunately it’s part of the sport."

Horrible thing to happen to a good guy. This is the bad side of the sport, unfortunately.

    That’s terrible news.
How come no one wears those neck supports anymore?
That wasn’t a very exciting race. I thought the double whoop sections would provide better racing.
The inflatable vests in action were pretty cool though.

T3 to t9 is right around the lungs middle of your back.

The neck braces started going away once the mips in the helmet came out.

They also went away because they snapped collarbones more frequently

Hmm, so that brings up the question of when should my 5 year old stop wearing his. I know it helps them at a young age since they have a gigantic helmet on and their bones aren’t fully grown.

Personally, if they feel more comfortable wearing it, I wouldn’t worry until they start riding more competitively. Little kids are still bendy. Once he starts riding at speed and jumping you may want to consider removing it.

Crazy thing is the crash wasn’t that bad. Sometimes hanging on trying to make a great save hurts you more versus letting the bike go and eating some dirt. Robin just landed on his head at the worst spot possible. Hopefully he can get back on his feet. He seems to be in good spirits.

All these old guys are slowly breaking down. And I say that like I'm not 10yrs older than them. Saw that Barcia is sitting out for a while to recover. Think that is what is going to be the factor to make them retire or I could be completely wrong.

They next few races are probably going to be exciting to watch for the points lead for 450 and 250 East

Shoot all the young guys are breaking down as well. It’s going to be a good end to the season.

Guess just nature of the beast, but the young ones bounce back pretty quick unless it's something really bad
