The first time I had heartburn was on a ski lift after slamming some green chile cheese fries and fireball for "lunch" -- I didn't know what it was and I swore I was dying. lol. I rarely get it but Pepcid chews are the legit quick fix. I have a pretty solid stomach; probably more so from running stupid numbers of miles and eating crap -- but I still run with tums and Imodium in my pack. :p

My senior year of college I took an agriculture course so I could learn to weld. We had to make all kinds of things, with wood, metal, whatever; but it was an easy A and got to mig/tig. But this was also at the cost of a kid named "Brown" who also pointed torches at gas tanks, couldn't make a simple steel tacked star, and effed the settings on all the welders he used that I'm not sure how he passed the class...

I’ve always been meaning to learn how to weld better. I can join two things together but nothing i would trust to suport things. Only times ive had to do it in the field was for cosmetic stuff or tac nuts onto pumps so i can do alignments. I played around on a welder a few times in my dads machine shop but never actually sat down practicing it

I’ve got no kids or excuses so why tf not! And work paid for it and even gave me a pretty big promo before I even finished, so working out pretty well!

I picked a “hybrid” program at University of San Diego, so have to get out to paradise ~6 times a year  Graduation is Memorial Day weekend so we’re gonna party a little!

Good thing you built it sturdy enough to carry a 33” tire and your huge balls!

I've learned most by practicing and effectively playing. I would say they are good enough for what I'm often putting together -- wouldn't fly for much more than hobby.

Our teaching assistant was annoyed to hell that I couldn't stick weld with the blind mask; mig looked like snot; but my tig was a beauty (for the course at least). He couldn't figure out why I could tig but nothing else - I can mig now fine and now I'm craving me some tig...

where do you work? our facilities for our data centers are BA pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and things at a scale I never thought I'd see or work on. As a MechE, that's where I started...
