the TA had to literally hold my hand to try to help me stick weld; we were also only allowed to use dark helmets for that so I think if I'd had an auto mask or something I could partially see I could figure it out. Have not tried since.

sweeeeet. You'd easily be able to work on most of our stuff; one of our better guys game from TRANE years ago; just a bunch of big ass chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and well, mechanical things. :)

It definitely is one of those things people dont really know how it works. You take it for granted when you can walk into a nice air conditioned space or get ice cold beer at a store. But everything that it takes for that to work and maintain it is insane

    Baltimore Aircoil Company

They're out of Madera and make these big ass setups for refrigeration and more

I actually went out their and took their weld tests and passed them - was offered a job as a welder with great pay but passed because I didn't want to commute

i had a hvac guy out and asked if he wanted to quote me a replacement for my trane central air setup from 2000~

he laughed and told me anything newer was a waste of time and money reliability wise

They are an 'employee owned' company and all - great facility to work at for sure

They even do their own water tests to make sure their welded parts are good to go before sending them off

I mean new stuff can be just as reliable and save a ton on your energy bill. But i mean if it aint broke dont fix it i guess. Atleast tge guy was honest, ive heard of plenty of horror stories about residential guys up selling customers
