Recently replaced my rear diff seal and had to take everything apart. I put everything together and as I turn on the truck the E locker light is on and despite driving forward and in reverse it won't turn off. I also turned the diff lock on with the button and drove forward and reverse

    Any help?

    I just did in 4wd.

Should I be in 4wd with the diff lock switch in the off position or on position? The locker won't engage usually without being in 4wd

I think the worn gear sled to the right (engaged) while the actuator is still disengaged.

Pull the actuator, look in the hole to make sure the teeth is to the right and reinstall the actuator.

toggle it with your finger or a flat head driver. Make sure it’s clocked/position to the right and not on the left side. Left is engage, right is disengage.

Might as well keep the same thread but im having a new issue.

I recently engaged my diff lock just to see if it'd work but as of now it wont. Even manually doing it im having some issues.

Any ideas on why it wont turn off?

You mean it won't disengage (from the locked position)?

Highly doubt the teeth are damaged.

Pull the actuator and test it. I seen some owners pull the actuator and hold it in their hand while another person pressed the RR button to very of it will spin and depressed the RR button to see if it will rotate the opposite direction.

Only thing I can think of is the engagement gear wasn’t pushed fully to the right (unlock position) and when you reinstalled the actuator, it was clocked properly. Hence, allowing the unit to lock but unable to unlock.

Yeah I got a friend coming over soon to come and try that. I did it by myself but I didn't hear a sound. Maybe it wasn't pushed to the right fully but It did unlock for a full 24 hours. I turned it on again to make sure everything was working fine.

If the motor is screwed, I can't get it to turn right with a screwdriver, what's my last ditch option?

Edit: I'm glad It fucked up while I'm in my driveway rather than the trails

IIRC, you wouldn’t be able to turn actuator gear by hand.

Keep in mind, activating the locker will only function in 4lo unless you did the “grey wire mod” which will allow the locker to engage in 2wd/4hi/4lo

Let me get this straight, you’re locked in 4lo and cannot disengage? Sometime, you have to drive 10-30ft in a S pattern until the gear aligned before disengaging.

It WILL NOT unlock perfectly each situation. Sometimes, when you unlock and the gear are aligned, you’ll get a quick disconnect. Other time, you have to drive slow until the gear align before the locker will disengage.
