Possibly. But the 3G felt like 1980's warmed over.

i DESPISE the infotainment system and i wish the fuel tank size wasn't decreased so much - baffling decision to me.

beyond that, everything about my 2024 is better than my 2016, which i bought new in sep 2015 and drove until nov 2024. i love the new drivetrain; it's just an absolute pleasure compared to 3rd gen, and i think anyone who claims otherwise is in some form of denial.

i like the beefier look and sharper exterior lines much more too - 3rd gens look like bubblemobiles to me now.

I’ve had my 4th gen for about a week now. Prior to this I had a 2023, a 2006, and a 2021 that I still own. The 2025 is by far the most pleasurable to drive. It looks better, feels better, drives better, and I love the technology and upgrades. This idea that a truck can’t be capable of some blue collar truck work and also have nice features is silly.

For me, the biggest improvement is the lack of gear hunting. Hitting the gas and accelerating on a freeway is so much less dramatic than it was in the 3rd Gen. I love the screen, the camera views, ventilated seats, etc.. I did tweak a couple of settings on the safety sense stuff to make it a bit less annoying, but still achieving the goal of being generally safer. But even that was not an annoyance at all, it’s a benefit that I have the ability to turn them off in the first place. I haven’t found any major gripes with my truck yet.

    He probably
Means 7 Tacomas in his lifetime. Not 7 4th gen Tacomas.

No worries. Actually, I didn’t word that well, I meant I’ve had seven mid-size trucks - Nissan, Ford, Toyota Pickup, Tacoma, Datsun.

Can anyone speak to back seat room? The 4G door is about inch smaller and almost looks like a larger access cab door from certain angles. Is the space in the back actually any different than the 3G?

At least you aren't paying to fix random things every few months equaling similar to regular payments. Never had an issue with payments, its expected...however replacing crap that randomly breaks i have no interest in anymore.

Yes, miss my 1500 duramax a lot. The gas tank size is really something I should have paid more attention to.

It is the same space volume wise. I change my clothes back there after running at the park. It may look smaller to some because the seat leg cushion is a tad longer. Gives you more thigh support but takes away from throwing a case of beer on the floor. Choose your compromise. Or throw your case of beer in the bed where all the other stuff belongs.

You can fit kiddos back there fine, but at most a 6 pack on floor, no coolers or cases on floor. Toyota got that one backwards

They moved the b pillar back a bit, so the front door is larger because it gets used more.

the rear seat leg room is advertised 1” larger than the 3g
