I plugged the newspaper opening. Easy to build, pretty stout, builder /developer used this design. Everyone has the same mailbox, in neighborhood and it was free when you bought your 1/2 million dollar house

Good morning. Colder today. June weather is retreating and April has returned.

Only you know which is right

Good morning. We had a strong wind storm again last night and through this morning along with cold air. Ahhh, mid-atlantic spring time. In 2 weeks it will be 90° with 85% humidity

Thanks Mike, I needed a good chuckle.

Thanks Jim, that is a simple but elegant design. I do have a stick of the 1x6 cedar left over from the deck railings.

    Morning all

I have a wall mounted mail box on the house, mail carriers are on foot in our area, and houses are closer to the street( oh, and snow isn't an issue).

Had a mail slot on the front door, then I got a metal door and no one wants to cut through that. Also a friend's MIL had someone push a hose into the door slot and filled the house with water...why?

So now my wife complains that the black mail box shows the dirt. She doesn't think I'm funny when I suggest a dirt color.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I hadn't thought of The Moody Blues in a long time. Now they will probably be in my head all day...

My post has been tapped once, and I was able to hammer it back together and secure it with a few new screws. BUT... If anyone demolishes my mailbox post again, I'm going to welded together the next one out of thick steel and then fill it with concrete!
