OP are your plates that hold the spring up on the shock tube the alum ones like in NFL's pics or the black stamped steel ones. Maybe the thicker alum plate is making up some of the height diff. Mine are the black stamped ones and are alot thinner then the alum ones. Check my pic to see it.

Wanna pass some over here? I'm planning on this lift and I'm curious as to why the difference.

Did they come out with a "new version" of the 5100? Do they come different in other countries?

Sorry, but I have 5100s for my '07 with the thick aluminum seat as well.. I believe the seat for 1st Gens are the black ones, but we are all talking about 2nd Gen trucks correct?

I only put it out there that there is a difference in thickness and that could be the reason for higher lift. I dont have an answer for why but I do know that mine are alot thinner and steel which are probably stronger. Maybe call downsouth motorsport and see if theres a good reason for the change. If you look at the difference the alum one just goes straight across and sits on top of clip with a little recess for spring to sit in. The steel one is almost like a cup and sits lower over the clip to possibly hold it in better. My opinion only

    alignment #'s left right

    camber 0.9* 0.7*

    caster 1.9* 2.0*

    toe 0.03* 0.03*

I asked for camber 0* toe 0* caster 2.1* or more they said this is the best they can do, looked like tech was asking others for help I drove maybe 5mi. no freeway seamed to handle fine ? will put more freeway miles on it after rush hour. are these alignment #'s bad for my set up , should I go back & try to get 0* camber & toe

2-3/4" in front and 3" in rear. I can take hands off wheel at 70 and it goes straight. Tires look to be dead on and wear looks even across the front. Trucks only got 2,500 miles so no parts are even worn yet. I got 36lbs of air in tires. 285/70-17's

Thanks, I got 19,000 miles I guess I'll leave alignment alone and watch tire wear, like i said it drives great, maybe a little rough on large potholes, ANYONE know if more caster would help?

Caster affects the straight line control. Wandering, Pulling, etc. You should have the Camber brought below .5* IMHO.
