Why buttons and knobs on the center console like a car?

Discussion in '4th Gen. Tacomas (2024+)' started by yotadust, Apr 24, 2025.

?

3rd Gen vs 4th Gen front cabin (not considering the 4th gen's seat height and head room fixes)

  1. 3rd gen is more tougher

  2. 4th gen is more tougher

I love how open and spacious that LC interior is compared to the 4th gen Tacoma.

They still hurt my inner cheapskate. At my daughter and wife urging I joined them in the Lululemon store. They indeed have pants good for those of us not in the obesity epidemic, but Kuhl makes trim fit pants I can usually find discounted. Lands' End trim fit for work dress up also much less expensive and good.

Most of the Lululemon shopping women in my family would be pretty hard for some making posts here. They drive manual transmissions, fix things, have advanced educations, are athletic, and possess leadership skills. They consider the 4th gen Tacoma great from hands on experience with the predecessors.

I have been fortunate in being able to get a close-up look at a few overseas Hilux examples over the years and I don't understand why Toyota has never tried selling them here. I got a chance to drive one one time, and it was "all truck", but in a good way. Utilitarian, but in a good way. Hard to explain. I would still want a/c, but if vent windows were available, I could get along without it. (late 1980's Ranger and BroncoII's had them available as an option) :proposetoast:

A line of clothing specifically designed to be stolen and then resold on FB and CL. Apparently.

It's a Canadian based athletic clothing company known for making women's yoga pants and other women's athletic attire. They've since branched out into mens clothing making pants, ect. Their commercials for mens clothing have tried to shake the stigma of buying mens clothing from a company known for making primarily women's attire. Hence, all the jokes.

I don't know about Canadian pants but here check out this Canadian buck I lit up last year on super slow motion video. Its my first attempt at a hunting video so I'm pretty proud of it!

I’m 51, and most likely the Tacoma’s key demographic. I don’t want utilitarian. I like the 4th gen the way it is. I’d bet a large sum of money most people would not buy a utilitarian Tacoma. They sell a quarter million of these a year, and those here on Tacomaworld are a minuscule amount of those sales. They need to make what sells.

Yep. Non fleet sales of SR trims are a tiny fraction of the total. We all pretend we want a 1985 pickup modernized, but we don’t buy the one that’s in front of us. Even here where we “want them,” we all drive ORs and Sports

Miller Technology in Canada imports these new Land Cruiser trucks to upfit for mines. They say their customers have tried lots of other options but keep coming back to get these because nothing holds up like these. Y'all would really rather have the 4th gen Tacoma for $50 grand rather than one of these little diesels for $30k?
