Gave her an oil change and a diaper. She's old, so not too surprising that she leaks.

Her little sister on the other hand, no leaks.

Haven't put the Kubota to work yet, the oak trees are still in the way. But, the Ford got a lot of use the last few days. I ordered a set of brush forks for it so I can haul more brush per trip. Should be here at the end of the week. Neighbors are happy, I used the blade to smooth out the driveway where all the rock got washed out by the flood. No longer bouncing my head off the roof driving up.

I'm keeping the Kubota, but decided to give the Ford and my HF backhoe to my dad.

Did a quick 20 minute job (that's what I tell the wife all the time) in the backyard.

When I had the concrete poured the below ground drain pipe got buried under the gravel, so I dug it out and extended it 10 more feet to drain properly.

Measuring the distance I would need.

    Back hoe to the rescue!

    Extended pipe.

covered again. I added a stainless steel mesh over the opening and put a large rock below it to help divert any water run off.

Just saw this online for felling trees the way you want with no wedges, it's actually not that stupid as long as you get the anchors drove in top and bottom.

If its a big enough tree to need a jack? You just cut the pocket out inside the tree.. no need for the straps...

Put the wedge cut where you want it to go & have at it.

Haven't done a tree that needed the jack treatment in a loooong time.
Most of the time I can just use the FEL on the tractor to put a little pressure on it at about the 10' up location & give it the saw treatment.

But hey if it worked for em? Power on!

How did it steer carrying this piece? :D

I know them old Fords were hard to steer without a loader, unless they had power steering :D
