ASSHOLE PARKING

Another Camaro, albeit a pretty nice one too. No HC placard, and there were plenty of spots to not have the orange paint dinged

 

I will say, they were in the dead center of the parking spot.

 

Almost every convenience store I have been to have one thing in common. A sign that reads "convenience store parking only. All others will be towed". And when the driver arived and went to tell the cashier he was there to tow the truck I'm sure sometime during the conversation someone would have said "can you believe that guy parked there? What an asshole". Or "what a dumbass". Same difference.

 

"Riced" Lambo driver pulls off two sins, the blocked driveway, and if you notice he is straddling into an ADA spot.

 

This may not be a****** parking but this forum has parking in the title and this does concern parking. The truck did have a handicap license plate. Now unless this is all for show, and I have no problem with that, how handicapped can you be? It would seem if you can climb around on that truck and utilize everything attached to it you can walk into the f****** store from a spot other than a handicap parking spot.

 

Not all disabilities are physical, and even the ones that are may not be readily apparent. Probably better for you to mind your own business.

 

If you have the permit, you have the permit. If the permit belongs to someone else you shouldn't be using it. But not everyone who has a permit needs or uses it all the time. I have one, I have days when I really need it and others when I don't. So I definitely don't think this one belongs here. They are properly parked with the proper permit, = not an Asshole!

Now if they had parked like an Asshole, then that picture would belong here.

 

Well I took a picture and left, I didn't stick around to confront the owner so I kind of did mind my own business. And to tell the truth I don't really care if he's faking It. It's just the absurdity of it on the surface.

This clown at work decided to park in the motorcycle parking area since the disabled parking was full.
Not the first time. But maybe the biker's hint might make it the last.

 

My wife has a permanent handicapped permit. From the outside she looks normal. She has 6 of 2.5 inch long screws and multiple plates in her spine, and would have been paralyzed, if it were not for a miracle working surgeon.
She has been yelled at for parking at the handicapped spot before. On a good day she can walk a bit further or ride in my truck to Lowe's to get plants.
On her bad day she is lucky to make it to work and get to her desk. It can take from 30 min to an hour plus of me massaging her back for the muscles to relax enough for her to go to sleep. If she overdoes it during the day (spent too much time in the office chair, did too much racking or too much housework), Penetrex and massage are not enough, she has to sleep in her chair.

But she looks normal on the outside.

PS if you are in Atlanta area and are looking for a spine surgeon, PM me. There is no one better than the guy who had operated on her.

 

Maybe the owner and primary operator aren't the same person as well, my friend in college drove his aunt's car that had the plate.

If you have the plate/placard and park in the spot, nothing to see in my eyes.

I get mad shit from random jerks who think my disabled tag is a joke
Because apparently disabled people can't like sports cars....
Which is now my stock response in the most asshole/snide voice I can muster
I flipped one old dude off for giving me the stink eye b/c I was so over it that day
It happens again, I might just say FU really loud


I look "normal" most of the time - what you don't see is the screws/plates in my spine and the almost CONSTANT pain in my hips/legs. It feels like they are wrapped in barbed wire and being crushed, and that is on a good day. Add in the knife in my femur or maybe both and I quit and am not walking the extra whatever distance into Walmart - I usually will park wherever on a decent day.

I'm not really sure what your argument is here except my post offended you. Let me ask a question. With what you posted could you climb onto that truck, setup the RTT, get items off the roof rack,etc? Because the answer sounds like a hard no. I also pointed out that maybe this is all for show, and that's OK by me. I also know through work, friends of friends, etc, more than a couple of people who found a doctor to declare them handicapped so they could play the system, so don't tell me it doesn't happen.

"Add in the knife in my femur or maybe both". You can't remember? I'd remember something like that. And what did you do to someone that prompted them to put knife(s) in your femur? And the way you worded it makes it sound like it's (their) still there. Don't you think it's time to get them out?

 

Dude for all you know this individual has a prosthetic leg or similar. That doesn't affect their ability to get in or out, or grab shit off the roof rack. Just fuck off or admit you're a judgmental prick who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

 

I could do all of that
It has taken me 10+ years of intense PT to get to that point and it doesn't negate the pain I cope with daily.


People game the system all the time
At my own Walmart even - they take Grandma to Walmart to use her permit, all the while she sits in the car. But I mind my own business because nothing causes drama faster than not keeping your eyes on your own paper - example, this conversation.


I don't appreciate it when some rando off the street thinks he has a right to judge whether I am disabled.
