Can anyone recommend a place around Carroll Country that can change tires on a garden tractor? I tried for over an hour and gave up, I don't have the right tools and I'm not interested in building anything for a 1 time job.

 

What about a John Deere place? I think the one I take my riding mower too for service does tires. (Sorry if that’s a stupid suggestion because you probably already thought of that).

I’d go to the Kubota dealer on 140 or Deere on 97… sure they can knock it out fast. Also, most motorcycle shops like T-Bone and Earls in Taneytown. They used to to all my ATV tires which aren’t much different.

I want to say one time I got 45 out of it? Not bad for a non-hybrid that started out as a race car (nothing is faster than a rental! )
I am running 0w20 over the spec'd 0w16 so that's probably affecting it .3mpg

 

Thanks, I called them since they are right around the corner from where I'm working at the moment. $40 per "operation", so 4 dismounts and 2
re-mounts. No thank$.. I found a local guy, I dropped them off and he asked me to help him with breaking the beads. He fired up his small tractor that has fork blades on the front, he lifted the boom, aimed the blades straight down and used that edge against the tire to pop the beads. The old tires, he had so much pressure that the front of his tractor came off of the ground. I was NEVER going to get those by myself.. the newer tires took almost no effort to de-bead them. He will use the tire irons and work his magic tomorrow.
