Wow, Fedex already has the table. Should be here Friday, alot faster than expected. I think all I am going to do to get going is weld the watertables together, weld or maybe dimple the drains, and run a dessicant/motorguard on the plasma.

They ship out of TX if I recall correctly

You'll get a few boxes and they won't all show up at the same time so be wary of that

Sharp edges do crack easier. But if the flange is going into a countersink made with a drill bit (that’s big bit!), you wouldn’t need the relief. Would it only get welded on at the top?

I worry about you trying to get a good hole with a bit that big on some weird shaped suspension part. I'd be trying to get this on a milling machine. But that's just me!

It wants me to install their app.

No biggie. I got lots of rarely used apps. What's another app. I can delete it after the file is mine:).

    The shop seat is awesome!

    Thanks!

    You're good!

Was curious as to what you meant by 'app'. Are you on your phone?

    Ahhh ok.

I've never downloaded Fireshare stuff on my phone, so had to ask.

I do know you gotta have a log in for Fireshare files though.

I'm gonna want to place the refrigerated air below the new table, but that might be a little tough if I'm gonna run some sort of tank below for the fluid.

Then again I don't know what I'll do for a drain and fill.

Still need to figure out a monitor setup too.

Just sucks cause I'd love to pre-plan but without the setup here, it's a wild guess.

A bridgeport would look awefully nice next to that new table. Working on getting mine assembled. Just tigged the waterpans together last night.

I have been a long-time lurker of this thread. I wanted to ask, for those of you good at this kinda stuff, how hard it would be to CNC something like this for me? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Background context: I have a buddy leaving my current unit, Motor Transport Maintenance. When I messed around with ChatGPT, I tried to show that their platoon’s effort carried the unit's weight on their back. It would be great if its 1/8 in thickness but I'm open to suggestions and plane; no color or any of the sort.

For anyone picking this up, if you can supply an SVG, that would be significantly easier to work with since it'll provide the actual image in a format one can use for CNC cutting.

Some engines will actually output an SVG when prompted, versus a BMP, JPG, or other popular format.

I'd think import that as a canvas to F360 and trace the silhouette and most of the work would be done.

Is that what you want? Just the outside cut and you do all the paint work and text?

    Like that?

That's an option! I'd rather not, but I'm here for suggestions on what's easiest. I'm not the arts and crafts type. Hahaha

    Yep!

And whoever takes up the job, just send them the actual SVG via email.

From there, I'd expect some comms back and forth to figure out how items will be bridged, cut out, and/or made with open chains.

ChatGPT won't spit out the SVG file you're referencing—just that image. I'd have to figure out how to convert it. At least I have a 24 hour post tomorrow to try and figure that out.
