maybe talk to a upholstery shop or boat shop for a basic roll of carpet you'll have to custom cut to fit?

A few years ago, when Harry was still with JDFab he was talking about some roofing material that Jesse was familiar with that he laid down over sound deadening.

Quick and dirty would be some suede roll/similar and carpet glue if you don't plan to take those panels off

Built a 1 off battery tray for the wife’s truck last night. I probably should have done this in .090 instead of .125 but oh well.

I’ve always been a fan of keeping a battery as centrally located in a vehicle as possible. It’s a tremendous help when it comes to wiring demands.

When you said "carpet" I was assuming you meant for the floor not the roof. I would just call Jesse.

There was a truck on a terra crew build video in the last couple weeks maybe that had some interesting low pile carpet paneling on the floor that looked pretty nice.

That or you could get a replacement vinyl floor for a taco from ACC carpet and cut it into sections. They usually have mass loaded backing for extra noise suppression.

I added some flaps for the front glass. Shall see how these do. Obviously not full tire coverage cause that looks dorky as hell.

Misread your post when I had posted.

I would personally carpet the thing. Not sure what your prices are like out that way, but the best upholstery guy in our area just quoted me 1500$ to carpet my truck and gave a 1-2 day turn around. That was wrapping over the tubes and everything. I didn’t think that was too bad honestly.

I have an oem vinyl floor, and even with cutting it up, I couldn't make it not look like garbage

Im not against carpet, but my truck isn't exactly super waterproof, and I don’t want mold. And being in scottsdale, everything is crazy expensive to have other people do stuff for you.

    Thanks!

Mighty tempting. Boutta have the Home Depot carpet.

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
Custom will always be king of course when you have all the tubes, benders ect.
But this gets most of the average single car garage warriors out there safely or at least safer

Never disagree with the safety aspect. But when you can’t remove a dash, you’ve got a problem. Unless it’s an all out race truck with zero HVAC and all electrical can be accessed.

If they can design full race cages, why not do more simplistic cages too? 1.75 and simple.

Yup. My truck is the boys ski mobile during ski season. 4 dudes squished into a caged truck is, well, not fun…

    Balances of practicality for sure.
