My oldest is going on a 4 day road trip with 5 other friends this summer and my wife offered to let him take her Highlander instead of taking 2 vehicles. She's braver than I am.

So 13 in 10 years!

I bought the truck in 2019 and didn't buy anything until last year - when I bought 6.

 

If my friend gets a different truck like they want to I'm probably going to buy the old S10 from them and just get a Camry after the lease is up on my truck. The S10 will serve truck and 4WD duties... after I get the 4WD working again...

 

If it's an S-10 you can engage the 4x4 manually. They were vacuum activated. Just follow the linkage and it will be clear.

 

I want to say they replaced the vacuum part that lives under the battery once, but you know the crappy parts they have now adays. Press the 4WD HI button and it just blinks. Thing needs remote oil filters lines, rear main seal, etc. etc. It's an '03 with under 100K but it was an old mans truck once that sat. I also found out it was smacked very hard on the drivers side many years ago. But, it will be a cheap winter beater/Lowe's truck.

I drove one a few weeks ago. If I traded my 2017 tacoma it was still roughly 40k difference. Ventilated seats were nice.
