Not even full droop or compression. It's so cool seeing the truck articulate with no bed.

Looking great, man. That last little dump of snow sure didn’t help convince the forest service to start opening up some dirt though!

My trucks at Stellar for a front-end rebuild because of some play in the JD kit.. scopin’ it on their Instagram out the front and not on a rack but I’m so ready to get back out after this sun comes out.

Yeah I mean I think I could’ve avoided this if I had the super power of gluing metal together, but I don’t, and the dude putting the cage in didn’t have any of my dash stuff so it’s not really his fault. But now I know for next time

Which tube do you mean when you say "door bar"?

Typically this would be the tube running from B-pillar to A-pillar close to horizontal with the ground, and the TE kit has that really low on the A-pillar and high on the B-pillar...

It does look like there is an optional A-pillar Gusset in the kit that is intended to surround the dash, running from the bottom of the A-pillar to the header area. If thats the bogus tube I would sayits completely optional, especially for a street driven truck.

that makes way mores sense about interfering with the dash lol.

I'm just some guy on the internet, but for your appliation thats a totally optional peice.

and also also, are those B-pillar tie plates not dimple died (not that it really matters but I am a sucker for dimple dies)

Yeah I figured as much, a couple other people have said they just leave those tubes out, but I have them, might as well use them. I’m gonna cut em out, reinstall the dash, then have them put back in with the half moon thingys.

I should really find out what they’re actually called.

and I know, I wanted them dimpled too but he didn’t have the dies. Oh well.

    Whole lotta stuff
If opting to have them in, would be cool to take a note from the streetcar world and make that tube removable with those inter-locking connectors. Images courtesy of google

Yes those are exactly what I’m talking about. The “half moon thingys”.

I have them on the cage to bed cage tie in, god forbid I ever have to take the bed off the truck. Which would require draining trans fluid, coolant, ac refrigerant, plus the suspension stuff, then I can start taking out the bed per the repair manual lmfao. I think I’d rather set the truck on fire than do that

All I can think of is because they did not put one in a DCLB and dont want people to buy it and find out something is different. If you email Brittany at sales@tedesigns.com she will get you an answer quickly. I just sent an email about roof panels for the access cab and got an answer in less than 24 hours....which included her going to the owner and asking if is in any future plans. Awesome customer service IMO

I have so many of these around my truck. Back half is permanently par of the frame, but I can take off the entire roof/windshield part of the exo-cage, and all of the internal cage can come out as well.

Use the TMR tube clamps though. They recently released a really clever version of the standard jaw clamps. Try to visualize how that clamp resista motion in every direction. X, Y, and Z axis, and each axis has a + and - direction. That makes 6 directions that force can be applied in. The type that Andrew posed, 3 of those directions are supported by billet steel, and 3 are supported by the two bolts. With the new style from TMR, the two shear directions are now supported by additional machined inserts, meaning only one of the 6 directions (tension), is supported by the bolts.

The captured nuts vs threaded body is also a nice feature.

That’s what I’m saying dude. When I was communicating with them on my roof plate kit, it was sub 5 min responses every time

First time towing the boat with a linked truck. Dual axle trailer, so it's a pretty low tongue weight, but I was expecting more sag and bounce. Towed wonderfully. Roll center is a tad higher than the hitch ball, so it actually cornered with less body roll than without the boat.
