Unsure honestly. I was always against putting an exhaust on these trucks but a used one popped up and I needed to replace my old exhaust anyway. I just spent a lot of time sound deadening the cab so this was a little counterintuitive.

well if it makes you feel any better, I feel like compared to any aftermarket option this is VERY mild as far as sound, you know it’s Toyota quality and maybe if you wish on a shooting star, you gained a whole extra horse worth of power. :deadhorse:

The same shit everyone else has.
I’ve had one on my truck for almost 10 years now.

It’s a little louder than stock, but it sounds good and isn’t super loud or droney.

Started drafting my new tailgate and spare tire holder in CAD. I want the wheel to mount slightly recessed as I don’t like how some have the wheel hanging 15” off the back of the truck. I’ll be adding a fold down table and jack holder as well, but this is just the first iteration. My current tailgate is rusted through and pretty mashed up.

May also mess around with a strap-down tire holder to reduce the cost of the build. That'll also allow a larger spare in the future at some point, as I currently just have one of my old 32.5" K02's. This will also be my first welding project, and I want to use 2” square stock so I don’t have to bother with a pipe bender.

Planning on using these pins to latch it as well as hold it at 90 degrees: https://www.4xinnovations.com/Spring-Pin-and-Weldable-Barrel-_p_144.html

I had the windshield replaced as a high speed pebble created a crack on the highway that developed into a nasty crack that spread to the entire height of the old windshield during the winter. I also started my cabin quieting project by changing out the front door weatherstrip with a revised design. The last photo shows a picture of the new design that has a round tube over the top of the weather strip.

Also added weather strip pieces from a Gen 3 that fits the curvature of our doors that is designed to eliminate wind turbulence (I included the part numbers if anyone wants to install this on their trucks). Finally I purchased a set of tri-bar door sill decals that don't fit the thresholds as intended, but I improvised and fitted them over the removable plastic sills.

I have noticed an improvement in the cabin while driving at speed (50 mph). The improvement being that I'm able to hear the audio better from my stereo at lower volumes. Next up will be to install sound deadening material in the cab (doors, wall behind rear seat, floor and roof).

Be grateful you’re mechanically inclined enough to do this work yourself. I’d have to pay someone. I hope you get everything replaced that needs it and your truck is back to romping around soon!

I made one of these for my truck a few years ago, it’s just chilling in the garage. Let me know if you have any questions or want pictures to help with your design. I would meet up with you, but I see you’re far from CA haha

The shop is making progress on my exhaust, in preparation for the S/C’er, and to clear the links for the new axle. Resonator and muffler up next.
