I did nothing, mine's started 4 times already today without a hitch. I don't know what the answer is, but I suspect it's not outside the starter.

That one and the Skyway out of Chicago (I-90) to the east are pretty bad, I think the two biggest tolls outside of the NY/NJ area.

This is why I have trust issues... honestly, I have NEVER seen aftermarket shocks be anything but a PIA. When they are working they are amazing, but you better have a shop, the tools and what for to rebuild them weekly (my experience comes from bikes and motorcycles but clearly is carrying over into trucks.)

If you just ignore it the truck will give up and behave... kinda like small children. Not true for suspension parts... sadly.

I made new shock mounts out of 1/4 plate... that isn't broken yet-frame will let go before that does. I did not do the relocate so factory positioning, just a tad higher (longer) because of the Tundra shocks. Tundra shocks have bigger shaft... not saying your wrong, but unlikely to be bending weird. Maybe the dirt/spray issue. No boots-they hold moisture and I don't like the look. Maybe WI salt solutions are to toxic for Florida shocks...

I agree, boots can be a double edged sword. They do help keep big crud out of your seals (or, at least should). Even with the muck we experienced in KY, I would think the seals should've been able to take that. I would also think those shocks would have double seals because of the expected usage.

Have you reached out to the seller?

Do what I do when something isn't working correctly. I call it a Bitch and I threaten to sell it.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
Mine is still having issues on and off. Consecutive starts seem to do better than having the truck sit.

Same experience here. Mine behaved today, but we'll see what tomorrow brings. I can't seem to find a pattern or cause for it to act up. Moon phases affecting the water in the starter maybe? :D

The only commonalities here are 3rd gens that went swimming in Kentucky. Anybody hear from @JOHNNYPICKLES ? Maybe I'll shoot him a text tomorrow.

Imagining you insult and threaten your truck.. :D

My truck and I have a pretty positive relationship. In Kentucky I said more than once "I feel like this truck has been missing this." We treat each other well.

Hey....WTF?! I'm not that far from you...neither is Dan.

NE WI is rather general, covers a lot of ground.
