Feel free to include me on the PM.

I am likely home bound as Rachel’s surgery is today and may be still recovering

Good morning. Got the Autel MX808S last night. Set it up and just looked through it. I need to connect it to my truck and see what it can do.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ML7T7KZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I'll bring it to the next meet if anybody needs it.

Ordered an SD card for it and a screen protector.

Brought it to a friends shop. He bought a Snap-On scanner and it wouldn't connect to the Maserati that he had at the shop. The Autel connected no problem and read all the codes.

I'm wondering if we can use it to do the trans service on the third gen Tacoma if need be. It should be capable.

But can it be used for a trans service on a 2nd gen?

    :fingerscrossed:

My bluetooth shenanigans SHOULD work for all turd gens, but it might not. I know it worked on mine (2020) and Manny's (2023, I think?), but it took some fumbling to get there because I only use the thing once a year and it uses an android phone to get there

I think the turd gen ATF just needs to grab ATF Temp 2, I don't think it triggers anything/sends any signals. But I could be wrong. Someone correct me if I am wrong, I slap dashed it when we did mine last year.

I’d have to look up the procedure for 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. My 4cyl still has a dipstick.
