can anyone confirm you can leave the rubber tube strip on the top of the headlight (about 8 inches) before putting it in the oven? I dont see it has been taken off in the write up

    Ok silly Q

Do I remove the turn signal plastic and paint that bowl?
Won't that have a large effect since it's a bulb?

You can do that section of the bezzel either way. I removed the plastic and painted everything. Still has plenty of brightness IMO.

Tried the BLHM...had I bail on it. I got one headlight out, not a big job at all. As I was trying to get the headlight bulb out, I cracked the anchor for the clip. Stupid mistake. I've tried to fix it with epoxy and its curing as I type. If that wasn't enough to bail on it, my headlight housing is coated with rust protection...a heavy grease-type coating. I doubt I'd get it all off prior putting in the oven and I'm nervous about the coating stinking up the oven or even the house. I know after they coat the truck, the heat from the engine would make it smell for a few days. I rather spend the $200 for the aftermarket lights than have my wife go through the roof lol
