Does anyone know what the torque is on the center bolt?

Instead of making a new thread, I am reviving this one. Anyone know the spec for the center bolt? My first time re-assembling a leaf pack and cannot find this spec anywhere.

Not so sure it’s hugely important once the u bolts are torqued to spec. As long as it’s tight enough to properly align the leafs before the bolts get tightened it’s serving its purpose. At least that’s how I’ve always looked at it.

No idea, but if you want to use Icon RXT's install instructions as a reference, somewhere close to 'tight and then some' should do:
    H. With the top 2 leafs in place, slide the center pin through the pack and clamp together using clamps on both sides of the center pin. After the center pin is placed through the whole pack, install the nut using a 9/16”. [Torque to 15 ft-lbs]

Thanks all! I guess this is why I was confused, I indeed found torque specs for the center bolt, but everyone had a different answer.. Anything from gutentight to up to 90 or so ft-lbs. Not sure what grade bolts they use on aftermarket packs. I tend to always over-torque things if doing it by feel, so I like using specs and a wrench.

I am talking about the center bolt of the leaf pack that you have to undo to disassemble the pack. I see it there but no torque spec listed unless I'm blind

    This

89 ft*lbs is for the bushings on either end, def not for the little bolt in the middle haha

ive seen 33ftp in a couple of different places online though it was for a prior gen. I'd start with 33 and loctite and recheck later if you can. The 33 sounds low compared to the other bolts around it but it is smaller so it makes sense and it doesn't have much of a job to do.

I'm with the 2 grunts and a fart, guy
    but 33#'s sounds more reasonable.
89 will snap that bolt in 2.

Your goal is to squeeze leafs tigh (no gaps) a tigh the nut so the leafs stay tigh

Exactly. The guy that said 2 grunts and a fart is surprisingly the closest to the correct answer lol. Just clamp the leafs together, and tighten the nut until its snug. Whether thats 15 lbs or 33 lbs, probably doesn't really matter. If someones gonna throw 70+ lbs at it, I hope they upgraded to grade 8.

89 ft/lbs for the 19mm's on the end. Center 33 ft/lbs. 89 would destroy that tiny center bolt.

Yeah, center bolt was a vague description.

this is not OEM but the bolt he was talking about. I've seen it called pivot bolt, tie bolt, and center bolt...
