Well I don’t collect dragsters but I’m a big fan of Don Garlits. When I saw @RLMoody post a picture of this I wanted it. So did some trading and I have to say this thing is better than the pics he took and probably way better than these ones I took. Just have to keep telling myself I don’t need more of them! It’s not easy, this thing is very cool. Going to sit here for now until I build some shelves.

 

Just mentioned to him that there’s a show called Part2, Bitter Rivals that had Don Garlits and Shirley Muldowney talking about the good old days and the changes in times, tracks, all sorts of things. Even stuff they’re doing now. She still wants to race him heads-up, but he has medical issues going full throttle now. Cool show. Should be on YouTube.

Can I ask where did you get the cougars from ?

 

I don’t think I picked any up. Someone in here said they look for late 60s and I have a FORD nerd friend, so I take pics and send him them also. He’s got a few cars that I’ve gifted him. Which one you interested in and I can tell you where it was from. Most lately have been WalMarts with my wife “shopping” or passing by somewhere traveling for work.

 

I will check that out this weekend. Wife is working Saturday and it’s supposed to rain.

Made a pit stop at Target

 

Sad to report… I went back for the beetle… thought I had the wrong store, so checked another, realized I had the gps for the photo, went back and not to be found… nada! I searched high and low and only found a couple of the 77 Dodge Van. That was it. Someone clearly purchased 25 of the beetles! Insane! I’ll keep it on my ‘pick list’ for next time I see them.

 

If you need, can get… just let me know. My friend had one before his XR4Ti, Grand Marquis LXE, marauder, and other stuff in there… LTDs mostly special orders.

This one was worth the $10 And I agree about the little people, but they're easily disposed of vs having to erase the advertising. C'mon M2! Give us what we want when we want it!
