I know what you mean. I had the exact same tire size on my sport wheels (265/70/18) and they look so much smaller for some reason, I think the offset of the TRD pro wheels makes them look bigger, and the OEM Goodyear tires on the Pro wheels are actually about 3/4" bigger circumference than the Nitto Terra Grappler G3 tires I have on my sport wheels.

It was posted on the Tacoma 4G forum. He had the TRD wheels/Tires/TPMS as well as all the OEM TRD Pro Fox suspension including upper control arms for sale. I picked it all up!

If you plan on hitting the trails with those OEM tires, be careful! The side walls are a lot thiner than I expected. I found out the hard way as I found a rock, not particularly sharp one, that sliced open the side wall from rim to tread.

Just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with the driver side bed storage door always coming open when driving I had looked at some on the dealer lot and seems to be all of them

Looks depend on the wheel size width and offset regardless of tire size being identical. If a wheel is thinner and will make the tire appear more fatter.

I put P275/65R18 Rocky Mountain discount tire tires on my powered coated black sport wheels, they looked ok but in my mind very narrow & looked more like a roller skate / skate board...
    Rode like a skate board...
Wasnt impressed & had to ditch the decision I made...
Ive got pictures in my "help me decide" thread

Of course. But in this case the TRD pro wheels are actually 1/2' wider than the Sport wheels.

The Goodyears is just physically bigger tire compared to my Nitto G3s even though they are both the same size.

I love the ride/performance I get from my Michelins , 265/70/18, which was an upgrade from dealer standard Generals 265/65/18….
I just hate the look of the Sport rims and like the TRD Pro, which is also impossible to find.

the real question for me is, with the TRD Pro rim being wider, will it change the ride/performance of my Michelins…..

I like those underhood lights, got a link? Do you have them setup to come on when the hood opens?

Ride will be the same. But the tires will be pushed outwards 3.5cm or 1.4 inches. Some good mud flaps and probably some running boards will be needed to help protect from rocks being kicked up.

I got them off Amazon, they are powered and a switch on the ground trigger switch in one of the existing holes under the hood.

the truck actually handles better since it now sits on a wider track. I love it.

debating whether to install these or not, since I don't really want to lift the truck and it drives really well right now.

Does anyone happen to know how much height difference between the TRD Pro and OR/Sport suspension?

I'm little late to the party, love what you all did on your taco, have to scroll back and finish ready, only on page 40 lol Does taking off the cheesy pinstripe put in at port count as first mod?
