Thank you. Yes, I’ve checked everywhere, under hood also, everything else seems good. Was pretty surprised honestly, but I did notice paint looked wavy in affected area for a while.

Does your son's truck VIN start with a 3 or 5?

Yes, majority of the 040 Super White paint issues on the 3rd gens came from the plant in Mexico. Mine is a 5 out of the Texas plant before they moved all production down to the 2 plants in Mexico.

My 2020 with Super White is about 4.5 years old now and the paint has been trouble free so far.

So what's the verdict, are they painted all affected areas that is visible? Or only what's listed in the mailed letter= doors and fenders only. Mine is hood and roof. Others mentioned their box is flaking too.....

10k and a 3500 rental bill and the truck looks incredible.

So I took mine over the weekend to my nearest Toyota Dealership and the advisor says they are going to inspect everything and only doing whats in the campaign which is the 4 doors and fenders only. The rest, I can open a case with Corp. and go from there to see if they will honor a 40k+ truck that they obviously cut corners and did a pee wee job

So I open a case and Toyota basically said kick rocks on the other affected areas. They only doing the doors and fenders. So I guess I'm just doing whatever they cover.

I went yesterday and they said Toyota stopped the program for a while because they noticed hoods and roofs peeling also. They said another letter may come out in the future for that but they are unsure. On my truck EVERY metal panel is peeling, it’s frustrating

my dealer said the same. They have been cataloging each customer who had peels not currently under coverage and will follow up with them if and when Toyota approves the additional repairs.

That's odd, my dealership didn't mention anything and they play if off like it's the first time they hearing this..... Hopefully another letter comes out because the Toyota case dude didn't say anything either which they should know better than a dealership
