Yes for state parks. But they also jacked up the annual pass for camping and boat launch. Used to be about $50 a year for annual boat launch which we use alot. Now is over a hundred. Figuring out airline seat prices is getting easier than camping fees. Need a Priceline, Kayak, whatever for the lowest campsite passes.

 

I'm planning a month long trip this fall. One thing I was looking at was spending a few days in Yellowstone/Teton. With you mentioning this, I checked...maybe I'll go elsewhere. Even with the senior discount, I think that's nucking futs.

ID sounds fancy. Most of my ID camping has involved a groover in camp. Or I just get a room in a particular town with warm water on my way to UT. (Used to pirate camp in parking lots, but now I have a small human to care for.)

Ummm , who said camping was inexpensive we by a state vehicle registration tab for the cars , lets you in every state park no fee . Still have to pay for camping. Yeah that’s crazy expensive, but it does keep the riff raff to a minimum.
