Besides ARB, Dobinsons and Ironman also have proper Australian off road bumpers.
They are crash certified to work with your airbag systems, the Australians are the only ones who do that with their bumpers, and I believe they can handle animal impacts something like 60lbs at 60mph, basically hitting a kangroo at highway speeds.

Steel bumpers are really more for low speed off road impacts or small animal strikes.
You might get lucky in a car on car crash and walk away with just some bumper damage, here is a thread of people showing off bumper damage.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/plate-bumpers-after-impact-with-pics.379600/

Also pretty much every bumper that gives good full protection will require you to remove the lower half of your grill.
Do you plan on reverting back to stock at some point and that's why you don't want to cut much?
Another thing to take into consideration is a full size bumper will most likely require beefier front shocks and springs to handle the extra weight.

If you’re serious about protecting the front quarters (not just center impact), you’re pretty much going to have to cut. Unfortunately, the way the Tacoma’s front clip is designed, anything that gives real corner/quarter panel protection needs a bit of trimming to fit up properly.
That said, you’ve got a lot of solid options if you’re ready to go that route. You really can’t go wrong with any of these depending on the style you’re after:

    • CBI Overland Front Bumper — strong all-around protection, great for daily driving and trails.
    • Body Armor 4x4 54” Overland Bumper — a slightly more compact overland look but still covers the corners nicely.
    • C4 Fabrication Hybrid Front Bumper — if you want something super strong and winch-ready without being ridiculously bulky.
    • C4 Fabrication Summit Front Bumper — more aggressive style, full protection for hardcore trails.
    • Cali Raised Hi-Lite Overland Front Bumper — lightweight option if you want clearance but still good coverage.
    • ARB Summit Front Bumper — classic ARB quality, one of the best if you’re looking for proven reliability.
    • C4 Fabrication Predator Front Bumper — aggressive style, full armor for serious off-road abuse.
    • CBI ApexG3N Aluminum Front Bumper — aluminum if you’re trying to keep the weight down but still want legit front-end protection.

Most of these bumpers are winch-compatible too if you want to add that down the line.
If you want to see even more options all in one place, you can check out the full lineup here: 3rd Gen Tacoma Front Bumper Collection
    Hope this helps...

Get over it. Just cut it, it's plastic.

Worst-case scenario if you ever needed to revert back to stock you could buy a new lower bumper cover piece. Color-matched if you can find one, or just paint it.

I think fab 4 makes a complete replacement that does require cutting. Also remember it being ugly as hell.

Based upon your location, I recommend Demello Off-Road. They are located in Riverside California. I have their front bumpers on all 3 of our Toyotas. 8 years on our FJ's and 4 Years on our 2021 Tacoma. I am not a paid advertiser, I am just a very Happy customer. Great quality, great welds, great powder coat and if you ask me great prices. Especially since you can drive there to pick it up and not have to worry about any shipping damage.

Front protection from what? Anything that hits you will do damage, one way or another.

Gonna open a can of worms here and ignore the wrath of "it'll damage multiply your front end" people. Made by Vangard.

This has already paid for itself hitting birds, varmits, (but thankfully not small children). Matter of fact, one of my corner bars was explicitly bent inward, when Mall Crawling. I was able to pull it out with a snatch cable and Tree, and is perfectly back in place. No damage to my front end whatsoever!
