Been there (Wallace)many times.SEFL Will deliver out the the local terminal which is about five or six miles from my house. I used to work for them. They moved right in my back door shortly after I left there after a decade of driving a minimum of twenty five miles to get to work lol.

Weekend started for me last night. Headed to Cumming Ga as soon as my wife gets packed. Hopefully we make it before dark lol. Might have to pick up an “I ❤️ Cumming” coffee cup this trip. I keep threatening to get one, they sell them everywhere down there. Lotsa love for their hometown I suppose.

It's the weekend. I'm so relieved.
I'm so tired of the people I work for. I'm struggling with when to give them notice or not. Part of me just wants to drop my keys on the desk and walk away. But my conscience tells me to give notice. I think they already suspect I'm going to retire to be honest. Carrying this secret around ways heavy on me, I just like things out in the open. The driver I replaced retired and they let him work to the end. I'm not so sure they would do that with me since I have butted heads with them because I don't take no bs from anybody. I need to work thru July to keep my medical insurance, medicaid won't start until August.
    13 weeks to go......
And I have 3 weeks of vacation and personal time to use up by then.

I would book my 3 weeks off 3 weeks before l plan to retire. One week into your vacation send them an email stating you’re not coming back after your holidays. There, you gave them 2 weeks notice.

Absolutely keep it a secret. Don’t let them ruin it for you.

The thing is I'm not a vengeful man. I'm principal driven. And even though they have treated me poorly I have a conscience and don't want to lower myself to their level.
Trust me, there has been many times I just wanted to give them the finger and quit.

@woodtickgreg I'd take my time off and when I got back on Monday tell them Friday is my last day I'm retiring. Remember they wont give you notice when they fire you. The other thing is they might tell your no longer needed too and let you go when you inform them your retiring.
You make the decision that's right for you.

Only a few short weeks to go, don’t stoop to their level, come in, do your job, and go home. Take your vacation and any other days you have coming, then tell them you’re not coming back. From what you’ve said, they could try and screw you, don’t let that happen, you’ve waited too long for this. Go out on top ! Good luck !

Good morning drivers, y'all have a great day and be careful today.
Friday we unloaded and loaded 5 trucks by noon. Then after lunch sent out another 2 LTL's. Let's see what today brings.

Good morning drivers, yesterday Canada truck first thing. Then off to the pressure washer line. 9:30 start time 11:30 bad to wait for water, lunch 12-13:00 restart and at 15:45 stop time. Wandered around till 16:30, punched out and went to get allergy shots then home. All in all not a bad day.
Hope everyone has a good and safe day today.
