    But if decent with tools, that would be a great project to do with him. My best friends father was good with woodworking and started that spark in me. Heck I got a table saw for a birthday present made all kinds of stuff for Mom& Dad's house. It's a good hobby.

    That Model railroading is expensive. I met a carpenter in the Midwest, who had it go outside in his yard and around the property. The guy had thousands invested. I think Sacramento has a model railroad club. I bet any of those guys would love to help you build one.
