What kind of lifespan short of an impact do these have?

    Yeah.
Yo @EGBTER thanks for the files! Lots of embedded settings in the 3MF that don't translate over to other printers, but cleaned it up and trying it now.

Awesome! I just dropped your set in the mail so they should arrive early next week. Thank you for trusting me with your order. Please let me know how they turn out.

I also want to add that I can sell replacements for one wheel at a time if anything should happen to one anybody's wheels that has made this upgrade at a later date. That way you don't have to buy a full set if you're just replacing one wheel. You'll just need to reach out to me here since I don't have a listing for that.

The set I make is good for any 2020-2023 OEM TRDOR 16" wheels, but I would like to make more for other years and trims. If there are any Tacoma drivers in the SF Bay Area that want to let me take photos and measurements of their vehicles, I can make some custom stuff for you in exchange. I'd really like to check out a 4th Gen up close. My neighbor has one, but I never see him outside. I'm afraid the one time I bump into him, I'll be crouched down at his tire looking like I'm up to no good.

    Spark Plug Change

Attempted the Front Differential change but could NOT get the bolt out… that’ll be a dealership visit.. I’ll have them do the transfer case as well, so all will be fresh.

Passenger side plugs were a breeze! Driver’s side, not so much. Next time I’ll start with the harder driver’s side, lol

Here’s some pics of the plugs at 59K. How do they look?

Typically this grade of vinyl is rated for 5-6 years outdoors. I don't have enough data to really know if they'll last that long applied to a wheel traveling at high speeds, but there are reports from other users saying they've gone through tough winters with them and they're still like new. And I mentioned this a bit earlier, but I would sell a kit to replace one wheel if anything ever happened that required one to be replaced.

The main reason I hesitated to install these in the first place was my concern for their longevity. I actually created the cut profile and the decals in 2022 when I bought my truck. I just never went through with the install. But now that I did, I wish I would have done it a long time ago. They are very solid. I didn't want to upgrade perfectly fine wheels and tires on a brand new truck, so this is the perfect balance for me. I can't say this enough. Just this small upgrade, the plasti-dipped badges, and the TACOMA letter inserts for the tailgate made me fall in love with this truck all over again. It's how this truck should have shipped from Toyota.

No, all original although when I install a winch I will probably have to upgrade front suspension

After just seeing the tonneau cover to topper swap reminded me that I'd like to find a budget topper or tonneau just to put on incase the wifey and myself ever get to go anywhere, the dogs would be in the back seat area so any luggage etc etc would have to go in the bed and would want it somewhat secured (not out in open sight) if we went in somewhere to eat while on the trip.. But gezz used toppers are crazy priced for Tacos, can find them all day long for the big 3 for really cheap... lol
I don't even really care what color it is, as I normally like an open bed... I had one (topper) for my 92 Toyota way back when that I would C-clamp to the bed when we went camping, once back home, back off it went...

Will a gen 2 fit the gen 3's?, will any other makes fit?, mine is of course a DCSB...

Everyone is gonna tell you no, but this guy made it happen and the pics from these fellas (15&17) make it seem like it could work temporarily as you described! Now you just got to find a reasonably priced 2nd gen cap

Thanks for the links, interesting threads... I'm thinking a cheap soft tonneau cover might work the best for my needs... Or just keep looking for that unicorn of a deal...o_O

New wheels & nuts were ordered yesterday. New skins will be ordered and mounted locally after the wheels arrive (275/70). Still weighing between KO3's and Toyos there .

Saving the -BEST- upgrade for last, though. A car seat for my brannew grandson born last week :yay::yay::yay:. Papaw's gonna be a spoilin' machine.
