The completed install for @resman.93 in his @ 2022 Tacoma manual access cab. This rig was an absolute dream to work on. No b-pillars to get in the way. It seats have been installed in their place. Nothing beats the ergonomics and orthopedics of a Vario seat.

This TruckHouse Tacoma got driver and passenger black leather seats with the heating and cooling package. This meant going the next step and doing all the wiring to make the OEM seat heater switches play nice but also to have the Klima switches blend in (more on that later).

For our part, seeing the culmination of all of our hard work come to fruition is amazing. We spent a good 12hrs on location but the actual install was less than half of that. Plenty of interruptions when you are setting up for photography and video work.

Are you seeing my messages? I am still needing those pieces discussed to complete my install.

    Hmmm, evidently not.

Do you mean the black to round white connectors? If so I can add to the site.

i received my order today. The heater extension harness plugs are different. The one you sent it smaller black connectors and mine has larger, white connectors.
    I misplaced TS-US030-Y and TS-AS002-S.
I see the airbag proxy is listed to buy but can i also purchase the harness bracket? I still need the heater harness adaptors as well. I figured all three could be shipped together if you haven't shipped the new heater connectors yet.

Yes so the used seat you got is at least a year old. Scheel-mann changed those connectors out early last summer. Yes we have the connectors so no worries there.

No worries on the proxy and mount, we have plenty of replacements. The proxies are on the site individually but the little harness mounts are not. I will look into that one. I will get stuff listed on the site and lets touch base on Monday and we can get everything out then.

@jmferg we gave this some more thought and decided to make harnesses to convert the connectors instead of just supplying the connectors. This way is safer and guarantees success since it's now plug-n-play. It will be added to the site today. Will update when ready.

Yes its not specifically Tacoma related but we are announcing the production release of our 5th Gen 4Runner mounting solutions. I'm posting here as well because of the tariff timing. If you are on the fence, don't be. Tariff pricing on the scheel-mann seats goes into affect May 3rd. Thats just days away.

    The time has come.

The ONLY reason we are releasing it now and not when the units are completed and ready to ship is because we wanted to give all of you folks the opportunity to AVOID the pending tariffs (these are German made seats after-all) and lock in pricing before the seat prices increase starting May 3. Yes that's just a few days away. Any orders BEFORE May 3rd will be locked in for pricing. Anything on or after May 3rd will be subjected to the new pricing.

    So...

We are formally announcing the production of the 5th Gen 4Runner seat mounting system for scheel-mann seats.

This is been a development for quite sometime and we have selected two individuals to receive the pre-production units for them to test and give their final feedback but we don't foresee anything major or even minor at this point. We are confident enough that we have gone into production with the kits and, although we believe it will be sooner, we are giving ourselves breathing room for expected shipping on or around mid-June.

Read our latest blog posting for more info about the 5th Gen offerings:

Not trying to do the hard sell, we are just trying to prevent folks paying an extra 25% if they don't have to. Tarriffs kick in tonight at midnight. If you are on the fence, time to get off the fence and not needlessly folk out extra funds. tarriff.png

Were you going to list the on the site individually or send me a custom invoice for those three items together?

    New blog post.

This time comparing the differences between scheel-mann's Vario F and Traveler R seats. When it comes to our Tacomas (and FJCs and 4Runners) there is a clear winner. But we get asked about it the option of going Traveler R instead because it's cheaper. Sure, but it's not without its limitations compared to the Vario F and those limitations may not be worth it for you. Read more here:

Customer contacted us about the donor rails we sent him having a different proximity sensor. Not only was the sensor physically different but the connector was different. Luckily the signal was the same so it was just a connector conversion issue. We sourced everything from Japan and developed a plug-n-play harness. Problem solved.

We've been on a tear with writing and development trying to get out as much information as can. When you are as young a company as we are it seems we have to try so much harder then the established ones out there. But we are up to the challenge.

Today's article touches on our wiring and connector process. This part of our business is definitely going to turn into a full time job one of these days. The research, the acquisition, the customer involvement, the resources, the production, the testing. So much goes into it.

Great to see a new option. I have been eyeballing these seats for a while. The Corporate office is down the road from me in Stuttgart. I need to ask my TUEV inspector if removing airbag seats and installing these would be legal. The wife hates riding in the truck for long distances just because of the seats/seating position. This would definitely fix that. I suspect you could ship just the seat base?

The Einzelabnahme may put an end to that dream. Germany is likely more extreme than even the US with those types of modification rules but if you can get past TÜV inspection you'd be golden. We really have no insight into what you would find.

But yes, shipping out seat mounts is a non-issue. Prost!

Vielen Dank, the claim that Germany has a car culture is debatable IMHO, they have a manufacture culture if anything as well as a risk averse society when it comes to cars. They are quick to blame mods on a car before they take a hard look at the wingnut behind the wheel. I wish I could do more with the truck but every time I have to deal with Tuev it is a 90/10 not in my favor.
