Added the tailgate letter inserts. I did this a couple weeks ago, but just getting around to showing it off. Big improvement!

Honest question here. What's the reasoning for deleting the V6 badge? I see a lot of people do it, but leave the other badging. I chose to plasti-dip mine while I was doing the door badges. There might have been a time where a V6 was nothing to brag about, but now that the 4th Gens are out, I think it's kind of a cool OG thing, but that's just me. Cool trucks either way.

For myself, I just like a cleaner, more subtle look on the exterior. Hence the blackout door badges (I do like the "Tacoma" letter badges, just more so in black). I also changed the grill to a heritage black grill with black Toyota lettering. Deleting the V6 and leaving the Tacoma stamped letters in the tailgate as body-color just keeps it as a clean look to my eye. The TRD Sport stickers on the side of my bed are next on the chopping block.

    Got the repair estimate today.

    Just over $2k.

The guy said that what I'd thought was bent frame is part of the tow hitch assembly and is designed to do exactly what it did.

I'm a little skeptical - but we'll see what they find when they do the repair (to be scheduled).

I totally agree, the TACOMA badges look so much better in black. I'd like to get a heritage grill with black Toyota lettering as well. And I have seriously contemplated removing the RED TRD Off Road stickers on the side of my bed. I haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet, but there will probably come a time where I will.

    Little maintenance today.

Plugs in a 2018 O/R, no pics, there's nothing new to see. Do need a solid chat with Toyota engineers about the driver's side access.... Can they put more in the way?

If anyone is curious, I picked the plugs up at my local dealership (AutoNation), cheaper that Amazon fwiw.

Manuel trans fluid drain and fill... I replaced the fluid in dec of 24 with this TRIAX Synergy Gear MT 75W-90 GL-4 (MT-90); Full Synthetic from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5JQZPLF. Seemed ok, but over the past 4 months just got less smooth,, replaced with Ravenol https://a.co/d/iegIt83, and the trans seems much happier after an initial drive. Time will tell, your milage may vary... Happy Saturday to all.

Thank you. It does. It's actually a 2"/1" lift (level?) Level? Lift? Tomayto Tomaaato, I'm not really sure. But, it feels like a real truck now.

Ordered C rated BFG K03 285/70/17 tires from Costco. They should be here within a week.

What brand or type of TPMS sensors is everyone running with aftermarket wheels? My oem sensors are about 9 years old and I'd like to order some fresh ones.

Switched to a 2020+ head unit and a wireless CarPlay dongle. Got the head unit for insanely cheap and the harness was around 200$ from autoharnesshouse. 5 min install for a bigger screen and wireless CarPlay.

I’d like to report that I only got 2 1/2 years out of the TRD drop in air filter before my mpg were hit and cleaning didn’t do anything. Bought the AFE dry drop in to replace. I could notice an improvement with first tank and butt dyno.

I got it dirty while testing the 4wd to make sure that it still works properly.
