My only thought would be county records, see if he had a business or farm.

If it was Missouri I could pull the records from work and figure it out.

Edit: I'm just sitting around like the Maytag guy now that my truck runs great.

My sister attended Nicolet for awhile, whether it was to gain credits, start/finish her degree, can't remember.
She's a Director of Nursing somewhere in Wausau, now.

As long as everyone is sharing what they have for a vacuum, it's my turn.
We have a Shark Robot, it's name is Sharkie. There is also a Sears Kenmore vacuum. It's old and works good. We have just a few areas that are still carpet.
My Dewalt 20v vacuum works great for the baseboards and clean up when the wife gives me a haircut. It also works great for vacuuming the Deer Blind. There is a small wall mounted vacuum in the garage from Menards. Finally I have what every real man should have. A large "Shop Vac."

"That's all I got to say about that."

If a driving factor for you deciding where you want to live is the fact that Google maps doesn't have street view of the location, my neck of the woods is right up your alley :D the particular coordinates that you looked up are on public land though so you can't have it lol

I find nothing on an H.W. Murray. The man is a ghost.
However, Bill Murray has a house there. He might know?

All I found is the area was started as construction camp for the dam and railroad. Started somewhere around 1886.

    Good question for GROK

Edit: County records like @sparkystaco said, might have something.
I did some historical digging in Merrill, once. The public library had good resources.

There's an airstrip on Lake Tomahawk. I wonder if it's Bill Murray's?

I can't confirm if he still does, though Kevin Costner had a place in Minoqua.
    back in the 90's anyhow.

We use to go further north of CtyN by Sayner and swim at Crystal Lake.

All the Rhinelander talk got me looking at lakes over there.
Partied/Camped at a bunch of them. lol. From Echo Lake to Otter Lake.
Good ice fishing on Lake Alice and Nokomis.

This is awesome to see! Hope it works out and you're closer to your playground (Tigerton). Might have to invest in a plot there at this point......

Bought a Honda yesterday. Today, I channeled my inner Stevie Miller and bought a Mercury. Really. A 2010 Milan. 135 k. Got it for low trade in value. Nice car. Now the truck is back on garage detail! Well except on workdays (The summer business workdays.) Wife finally had it with the 10mpg daily driver on 35's...

OnX and Gaia show that location as part of the American Legion State Forest which I’m sure you already know. Might be worth contacting the DNR to help back trace where they acquired the land from.

Congrats(?) on the Merc. If it has the 2.5 you should be able to get really good MPGs as long as you drive it normal. 3.0 ain’t bad either but less MPGs. My family has had several of them and surprisingly they died from rust and not the drivetrain.

In Today’s Playtime With Sawzall, I made a fire ring out of a old clapped out weber.
    IMG_6355.jpg

The idea was to make a nice, hot, concentrated fire over the stump of the maple I cut yesterday. And also just because.

I didn’t like the height I got out of the lid, so I cut a ring out of the kettle instead. Much better.
    IMG_6356.jpg

Poured a little cooking oil over the stump, and away we go!

    IMG_6361.jpg

Why post this in this financial advice thread? So far this sawzall has saved me paying a tree service to cut down the tree ($500), a trip to the dump to throw away the weber ($45 in the 4runner), a fire ring ($235, because I like the fancy ones), and a stump grinding service ($150). I can also burn most of the branches from the downed tree, saving me rental on a trailer and another trip to the dump ($145).

By my calculation, I can nearly justify a rear bumper with swing-out now.

My next purchase will probably be a Ditch Witch needed to isolate the underground tree root fire that would otherwise smolder for 100 years.
