Hope you're getting compensated on your rent everytime you're having to get stuff done yourself

 

It’s like $100 off rent. Supplies and labor are met with “well my guy says it would’ve been cheaper”. Yeah… your guys repairs don’t last. This is how every landlord I’ve had has been, cheap slum lords. The property companies that rent out houses are just as bad. Plus they’d go after you for doing any repairs yourself. So in some ways this is a better situation.

I’m holding off on buying a house because some life plans are on hold at the moment, I don’t intend to stay in Texas. Ideally this is my last rental.

I dug trenches and buried a sprinkler system at a rental place because the guy just built it and left it above ground. The house was also the corner where the middle school kids waited for the bus and they kept kicking the sprinklers off so I was trying to be helpful, when I left they tried to charge me for the sprinkler system materials

 

My landlord is the best. Its my dad. He don’t care what i do because he doesn’t got to pay for it lol. Granted its going to be passed down to me so theres that too

 

Dude that was me in high school. And I was as straight edge, square doo goody Boy Scout as they came…up until I graduated and shit changed drastically lol. But yeah it always drove me crazy.

Update on the truck?

 

The guy wants to meet in the dalles on Wednesday to hand over the bell housing. I’m gonna check with my boss tomorrow on that.

Progress is needed - I hate knowing that truck is wasting away

 

Yea I’ll just have to take a day of vacation to drive across Oregon

 

Yeah, but that 3-4hr drive will fly by

 

Otherwise I could drive 6 hours one way to western Washington over a weekend
