Brand new here y’all so forgive my ignorance!

Are the DSL 250s being referenced the 65 watt 2100 lumen H11 bulb on DSL’s website?

No, this is a 2nd Gen thread, the bulbs being referenced are the H4 60/55W Osram-DSL +250.

If you have the stock fogs you could run those H11's there, they would give some serious ooomph...

Welcome! Those are some awesome H11 replacements, however for 3rd Gen low beams the Philips standard H9 swap will return similar performance for significantly less cost. As mentioned the DSL +250s are an H4 for 1st and 2nd Gen.

Damn that's no good, with this kind of output I'll need a nice cutoff so I don't scatter any light. I need replacement housing but the OEM ones will be $600.

Looking for some assistance. Been trying to solve this issue for about a month now. For some reason I’m getting stray refractions from my housings. They’re OEM reflector housing replacements with H4 LEDs. The bulbs are oriented correctly. Anyone have an idea of where to go from here?

To the auto parts store for some halogen bulbs. In all seriousness, It’s actually the purpose of this thread. You won’t get rid of the scatter from the LEDs. Check out the first post in this thread for some solid info/advice. @crashnburn80 has done an amazing amount of work/research on this.

Those "stray reflections" are what causes the glare that plagues drop in LEDs. Dump them in install the correct halogen bulbs and they will magically disappear - as will other drivers flashing you.

The first post in this thread has all the information you need on where to go from here. Get rid of those lousy LEDs and do the halogen upgrade with the harness. You’ll see much better and won’t be blinding oncoming traffic.

The LEDs themselves are your problem.

Stock wattage bulbs are the only way to go, if you can't upgrade your wiring to safely use Osram Super Bright 100/90w 2900 lumen H4s.

    According to @crashnburn80...
