    Hey. Gotta '04 Tacoma 4x4 TRD. Have decided to lift it 3" to fit 285/75r16 tires. I've done a ton of research, and have decided to go with coilovers in the front. This is my DD and most of my wheeling is on the beach. Anyway, I can't decide whether to go with the SAWs 2.0 or the Toyec's. Any prefrences out there, and why. Thanks.

    I'm running the SAW's 2.0 now they are stronger then Toytec's and completely rebuildable. Toytec's are nice but the long skinny shank that connects to the lower A-arm is a weak link. I wheel my truck hard never had a problem with my SAW's.

    Here is a comparison in material.........the Saw's are beefier then ToyTec's and I'm wrong on the Toytec's The must have redesigned them since i looked at them two years ago......they actually look better and stronger then the older ones they were selling.

    Thanks for the quick reply. How is the highway ride with the SAWs? Did you have to do any trimming to get those tires to fit? I want to go with the MT Baja ATZ at 265/75r16 with Procomp Rims.

    It rides awesome on the street........better then stock. I added a 1" body lift to fix the very minor rubbing at full stuff.

    with the type of wheeling you do You shouldn't have any issues with rubbing the wheel-well.

    x2 on SAWs being great and x2 on wheelersoffroad

    the sheer fact that they are rebuildable should put them above the toytecs...not that theres anything wrong with the toytechs...but i like knowing that for $75-$100 i can keep using my same suspension for many miles instead of having to replace them

    Man... if youy going to do Coil Overs .... you gotta go with companys that hold down there product... for instants. Donahoe Racing, Camburg or KING. They all ranger about 1000 dollars. look into it.

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    SAWs 2.0s will suffice if only really cruising the beach...

    toytec coilovers will hold up as well, but if ever finding yourself in a situation to whoop it up on the sand, the higher end coilovers would be a more worry-free option...

    if not planning to abuse the truck too badly, you really dont need to drop all that cash on it...

    seeing that the OP is in jersey i'd bet against him building a desert truck...in which case the SAWs will be fine...theyre an excellent quality coilover and will hold up to bout anything he finds near him

    i did indeed dd tonite...and its a good thing we did...route from selected bar back to buddy's house went thru 2 checkpoints and then route from his house to mine included a 3rd plus i passed several troopers hanging out running radar and stuff
