    With driver. Loaded
iirc was like 4800+ unloaded with driver. Gas levels likely differed between those two measurements too.
I don't carry a spare, but most tools and recovery equipt stay in the truck

what do you need? Cheaper to get your front and rear retube & balanced tbh. Another option would be Tom Woods. If you plan on adding a crawl box, get that installed and measure the yoke to yoke. Pay once instead of twice.

Just dropped the rest off to get done, I guess I just need a front one, wondering if I can use one from a older mini truck or something

Older 4R/pickup will be too short or too long. Plus, the bolt pattern will be different unless you’re running a 4-30 (no longer available) transfer case flange and a triple drilled differential flange, it will not accommodate the DS pattern or bolt. IIRC, older bore size is not m11 like the Tacoma.

If you don’t want one made, square tube will be a good option.

I’ll pick the rear ds up Thursday, I’ll see what they say about building or modifying one for me…nothing a few buck won’t cure..

my recommendation is to go HD to prolong longevity and abuse.

    2.75ODx0.156wall
Most common are .080 and some will go with .120 but .156 can take more abuse before needing replacement.

At a minimum, I would recommend .120 wall but .156 is beefy. I hit and slide mine over rocks no issue, then just hit it with spray paint to cover the battle scare over and over.

Yea, .156 cost ~$70 buck more for both of my DS. Well worth it vs the .120 IMO

Guy who did mine retubed my Toyota stuff with .134"
Sort of weird non-standard size but I've also basically put the weight of the truck on it and hasn't bent out of shape yet.

This. .156 wall seems to be plenty to not even dent and not too heavy not to be able to balance properly.

Biggest thing your going to run into, leaf springs and rear shackle is the needed travel length and cv joint angle.

I'm running the same, to get a good front d/s your going to pay a few $$$ but it'll be worth it to match front end travel.

    Edit*
    Something like this https://4xshaft.com/products/toyota-front-drive-shaft-for-solid-axle?_pos=5&_sid=405bbfd21&_ss=r

Unfortunately not running this one, running a high angle driveshaft, but cannot recommend them anymore. Too long of wait, great product.

That low stance/profile is wild. Looks capable. Nice job!

Thanks. That’s with 2.5” uptravel in front and about 4.5” rear. It could come up a little bit but it’ll still be quite low. Right now the frame is at 20” on a 40” tire.
