    Evening everyone!

Ed - sounds like a great trip! Glad you had safe travels and got to spend time with family.

We got back from our trip Saturday night, but I don't think I prepped for our return quite as well as you did - I've been playing catch up for the last several days. Finally found my "lost" wallet today tho on top of one of the dog's crates, so I figured I could spare a minute to check in with y'all. I planned on staying active on the forum even while on vacation but between the kids and the time change I could barely keep up. But I'm back! Hope everyone's having a good week so far.

Update Away! (Glad you found your wallet)

    And update at your leisure.

I've always been the pen pal ever since I met/married my wife. (1989)

I tell a lie...I first started receiving Hello Kitty letters from cute girls beginning in Jr High (1979-82).

My penmanship improved quite a bit (probably because I wanted to impress said, cute girls) lol.

So, this makes it easy for me to write/type my thoughts...so I creatively find time to post on TW.

I've had past experience on Forums (started in 2011) so the culture is something I try to acclimate/adjust myself.

Thanks for posting and see you around.

Good morning Delaware + Friends. :pccoffee:

Welp, it's back to work time...to accumulate more hours so I can take Paid Leave in the projected future. lol

Our yard is basically calling me...the grass is growing in nicely but there are still patches that grass has not grown in.

The perimeter of the house still has weeds that need to be pulled and the bushes need to be trimmed.

I'll enjoy my first cup of coffee of the day and get ready for the day.

Of course, I'll try not to act surprised about the things that happened while I was away...

That and catching up on work emails. lol

    Hey Eric!

The office looks a little different this morning...

Other than having portable AC unit by my desk and associated venting tubes, all is good. lol

Of course, I get the "how was your trip?" question to which I am brief in my answer. lol

Got over 100 emails to review and get familiar with and then I'll poke my head around the induction area to see what is left for me. lol

I will say this...nothing has changed whenever I went away/stepped away from my desk for long periods of time (as a military member too).

I guess that's just the way things are "In These United States."

You gotta laugh, that's for sure.

Dover, DE is much slower paced than SoCal...and I've got to remember that. :D:cool::D:cool:

First thing I do when I hit up SoCal is Del Taco and then when I get into San Bernardino I get a cheeseburger at Bakers. I loved growing up in San Bernardino. But once they closed Norton AFB that town went to shit.

    Hey RW!

    Thanks...hope you are well.

It sure felt great driving my truck this morning...I missed her. :);)

Now, it's back to dose of reality. lol

Thanks for letting me vent on here...I also utilize a co-worker who talks many things through with me so my "Cabeza" doesn't explode. lol

It's all good...I enjoy the quiet time...when I get it. :angrygirl: lol

    Morning everyone!

Hope it's easy for you to get back in the swing of things Ed! I had the same feelings about driving the truck again after being in a rental Volvo crossover all week in AZ.

Today I've got some guys here to bury a propane tank for our backup generator. Last time they were out they cut right through our cable/internet line, so I'll probably head out there in a bit to perimeter spray the house for bugs now that it's warm and make sure they stay between the flags lol. I've got a spaghetti squash in the oven and my wife is sleeping off a 3 night stint for work. She went upstairs to escape the noise, so I'll probably give the downstairs a deep clean before settling in on some work. Then it's taking my son to a checkup and maybe grabbing some Rita's as a treat. Enjoy your Wednesday fellas!

Congrats on the long marriage! My parents hit 30 years a couple years ago - my wife and I will have 7 years married in June, been together for 10.

I also definitely enjoy writing. I keep a private journal on a flash drive that I try to write in daily to get all the thoughts out there/work through issues/improve myself, I started that a few years ago and it's been a great outlet.

I've been off of social media since 2020 so I'm still getting used to interacting online again, but this forum seems awesome so I make an exception.

    Made it through the day!

I told my wife this will be the last time I schedule PTO/Flights in the middle of the week.

She doesn't feel my pain at work. lol

Anyhow, at least it's a short week...

But, I also have Stand-By Phone this weekend. Boo!!!

Morning everyone! Regrettably no scrapple this morning. I'll usually skip breakfast to fast til later in the day, but a few times a month I'll cave. Breakfast is a great meal.
