I just recently bought an '02 DC TRD 4x4 and I love what it can do off-road. I really thought my family would enjoy it but my wife will not go off-roading with me after the first time I took her out. This has turned out to be a major disappointment. I don't need the 4x4 anymore and am considering selling it and getting a 2wd gen 2 that is more on-road travel friendly for me. At most, all I need is a TRD with locker to go where I want to go that the family will also go. So...to sell of not to sell?

Does the wife want you to sell it? Or are you selling just because she won't go off-roading with you? i.e...is she OK with you going off-roading with your friends.

I'm not saying every weekend to the point you neglect your family...but if she's OK with like once a month or so you go off-roading with your friends...then keep what you got so you can do that when you want.

Bottom line ... never forget the married man's golden rule: "IF MOMMA AIN'T HAPPY...AIN'T NOBODY HAPPY!" ...once I learned that, married life got much easier! ...26 years now, so I think it's working. ;)

She's hot but not worth the attitude so her depreciation wouldn't bring me much cash.

agreed, people are responsible for their own happiness. I refuse to spend my life trying to cheer up a wife. I don't mind from time to time, everyone has their down days. But she better be able to keep herself happy a lot of the time.

When i married my first wife, i had a Harley that i loved. Turns out that she hated motorcycles, and refused to ride so i made the huge mistake of selling it. I've regretted getting rid of something that i loved, just because she didn't. Don't make the same mistake!

Fair enough...I'm not saying at all costs...if it costs too much...then BrokenTusk is right..."New Wife" (or maybe NO wife) becomes the only option.

So, disregarding the BS about keeping her happy, what's the story...Can you still enjoy off-roading without her? If so, then keep your rig.

If you're not gonna off-road because she doesn't like it...then get the other truck.

Just my opinion...it's up to you based on how important off-roading is to you. OK?
