Got this in change today, Google says worth between 10 cents up to $2000.00.
These came out after the steel pennies and were made primarily of used shell casings from the war. Very patriotic penny.
    Taking bids now.

Are you speaking of wheat pennies in general, or of 1944 specifically?

I don't know what years wheat pennies were made and asking is more fun than looking it up myself.

After 32 years, I have a leak in the damn skylight. Part of me wants to climb upon there now, but can't do anything about it. Knowing it will clear up in a couple days and not rain again for the rest of the year, I'll prolly just leave it and sell it..

Strangest leak ever. I was a roofer for a bit in another life, so I am familiar with how the leak can be on the opposite end of the structure from where it actually shows up.
This is just below the skylite, but coming thru the ceiling in the corner. I highly doubt it's the skylite but more likely coming from higher up in the roof. I blame the roof because it's new and I didn't install it. I did install the skylite myself 30 years ago, so that can't be it.
It dripped a regular slow drip after the morning squall, but really not that much, maybe a few tbs total.
We just had another dump of rain, prolly half inch on the ground in 15 minutes, and no drips at all. :notsure:

You think the flashing is still good around it? My friends apt had a few skylights and they always leaked. Seems caulk was always the answer but it returned from time to time

That was replaced with the roof. I'll climb up there this weekend, maybe, and take a look.
The attic access is like 6' away from the skylite and leak. If I was into it, I could poke my head in there with a flashlight and prolly see it. Except it's not leaking right now. So I'm not into it. :p
The trees have been dumping a lot of shit the last few days, I wonder if enough is up there to cause a dam and it maybe just flushed itself over the edge with the last downpour.

It is interesting to see what catches the random would be consumer as they scroll thru the "for sale" ads.
I have this and numerous other Lego, as well as several off brands listed for sale, fairly cheap if you ask me.

    IYKYK,

717 clicks on this in under 24 hours. And uncountable "Is this still available" requests.

over 1000 clicks now. Pretty sure I have started a buyout on this model, because it's actually priced high. Bet it sells out everywhere by the end of the week.
