I’m deciding between 2 wheels that are both 17x8.5 and wrapping them in 265/70r17 tires. My truck is still stock, so my question is will the +18 offset with 8.5 wide wheels rub on any inner components? Also will it still rub on the mud flaps? I know the 0 offset wheels will rub on the mud flaps but I’m cool with hitting them with a heat gun to clear the tires.

No +18 will be fine you can run a 265/70r17 on a +33 and not rub.

My 17x9 +1 set up barely rubbed the mud flap. Ended up changing them to a wider rock blokz to help with rocks on the side of the truck though

Thanks! Did you get the large or extra large set of Rokblokz?

Sweet set up dude, I like the darker bronze on the mgm. Do you think the xl will look too big with 265 tires? I may go up whenever I decide to upgrade my suspension

That set up is a 265/70r17. I have always been a rally fan so big flaps looks good to me. But the good news is I was able to juuuust fit a 285 with them still on.

That is with the 285's same wheel.

    Stawk as FUCK!
I rubbed pretty good with my 285 tires on 0 offset wheels. Little more than just cutting a mudflap. Took a very good alignment to bring the caster forward to clear everything even with a 3” lift.
