    If the steps are like the OEM style. The OEM steps on the newer King Ranch come with an On Board switch so you can shut them off when they are possibly frozen.

    That would save the motors LOL. I would imagine if the set you bought doesn't have that option you could do it yourself.

    Drivers side board is on. Works perfectly. Wasn't moving as fast as I'd expected. Sprayed some fluid film on the hinges and it's running much better. Took 2 hours.
