Good, used a staff for about 2:00 minutes. It’s never going to be like it used to be, but I’m okay with that. I just have to be careful, rigged the rod up Monday. Casting in the backyard felt pretty good, hard to see on the lawn. Need some magnifying glasses for my hat brim , can’t find mine.

I haven’t tried those I’ve been using Clics I really like them but my stream pair aren’t for walking. They would probably be good for frying ants.

Our local Walmart this past weekend o_O The same Walmart that had a shootout not long ago. A 12 year old trying his hand at arson.

Probably a good idea. All our decent places are in the northern part of our county right below Charlotte or across the line in Waxhaw. But then you have to put up with the traffic.

There’s a hardware store in downtown Paw Paw , been going there for years, it’s very calming. Stuff costs more, however it’s worth it !

    Good morning all.

There’s a Walmart in town. I haven’t been there in years. I’ll gladly pay extra just to avoid it. My local pharmacy, Rite Aid, is closing in 2 weeks. I have to find a new pharmacy and think I’ll go to a local independent vs another chain. Give some business to a mom & pop shop.

Here are my thoughts and what has lead to my success. It has been so effective that I have instilled this in my own children. It flows out of a belief that “People won’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” Theodore Roosevelt. Never forget that People are your most valuable commodity! Always put people over profit. If you will adopt this attitude, you will find yourself surrounded by incredible resources who will partner with you in any endeavor. This social capital is more valuable than gold but it comes at a cost of caring for people.
If you step into leadership, remember that Leaders are born when the need for serving others becomes greater than the need for serving themselves. Always under promise but over deliver. For over promising and under delivering breaks the relational trust necessary to be successful. Be confident but humble, take ownership of your mistakes and don’t cast blame or deflect. Build a system of distributed leadership where you readily admit that while you don’t have all the answers…the answers exist in the room and then provide opportunities for others to lead under your guidance, encouragement, and correction. If something goes wrong publicly own it and privately correct it. Cast strong vision and have a clear sense of purpose (mission). Then communicate that often. For it becomes the basis for all communication. And requires you to help people see how it all fits together. Finally…Get the right people on the bus and then get them into the right seat. Don’t waste time with people who don’t share your vision. It becomes costly and jeopardizes the vision for they are only there to serve themselves. Be kind but honest and clearly communicate where the bus is going. Then give them a choice to get on the bus or off the bus…sometimes you may have to put them in front of the bus because you can’t allow them to impede the work. Because regardless the bus has to leave and you owe it to the people who have dedicated their life to you.

Take this for what it is worth. There are many other ways to do it…this has worked out well for me and I find myself surrounded by people who care. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Went to a really-extended family funeral for a 44yo man who shared my unusual first name. He was a tattoo artist, but apparently also worked in other mediums. I think he pierced the veil of LOVE, which is why he left so early.
They displayed a bunch of his other medium work at the reception. I had no idea he was channeling TW
