This is correct - we name them this way because we've found that an extra 1/4" at the bump can make all the difference for folks who have clearanced for 35" tires, but are still seeing a tiny bit of rub in their wheel well. You do end up slightly limiting up-travel by a corresponding 1/4". We have a short explanation on our site about the difference.

Differentiating by tire size versus travel restrictions helped cut down on customer questions on our site. But if you want to preserve full articulation as much as possible, the up to 34" bumps are the way to go.

    Thanks for the reply.

I can understand how it makes it easier for the average guy and to cut down on business complaints. I've just never been a fan of limiting uptravel and most guys that wheel hard enough to need 35's understand how to tub properly. Like pulling the shock, pulling the bump stops, stuffing the tire and cutting until that stuffed tire had at least 1/2" of clearance all the way around. You are right though that the only real way to clear the top of the wheel well with 35's is a BFH and some aggressive swinging. Even after doing all that most guys still rub the frame. lol

I was one of the first guys to prototype Durobumps for Curtis when he first started that company. In the 10 years in between the amount of growth in the industry is insane. Having another option before going hydro won't hurt and hopefully leads to stronger products for both companies. I hope the business and community treat you as well as they did him.

Ya I am on 35's. I would rather not have bump stops that limit my uptravel, based on @perryparts explanation.

I do plan to eventually go hydro some day, so these will be another good data point. When that time comes, I hope you've released those hydro bump strike pad bumps! Those look trick.

@perryparts have you done any benchmarking on your dyno with say durobumps or other competitors? I would love to see the test plot of the how your product stacks up.

We parked my truck in the parking lot and watched some professionals have a try at the rocks at the Three Peaks recreation site just outside of town during the yearly W.E. Rock event.
We showed up right before my buddy Thomas from Fabn801 ran his first course.
    1070156.jpg
Thomas has the best shop dog Sage who also comes in as an extra spotter on the course to make sure he only picks the best lines
    1070159.jpg
She's serious an awesome dog, I'm pretty sure she owns the place.
    1070175.jpg
    1070191.jpg
They crushed it on the corse today

One of the craziest builds we saw today would have to be this buggy with a Harbour Freight 212cc predator engine, pull start and everything.
    1070304.jpg
it sounded like a dang pressure washer on the course but he put in one of the best times that we saw today
    1070303.jpg
It doesn't have to be fancy to get the job done

There definitely are a handful of fancy rigs out for sure
    1070244.jpg

    1070290.jpg
This lady even had a purple diamond stitched headliner, she also put in quite the competitive time.

Another one of my favorites for no real other than it's just Huge. I heard another driver refer to it at the Rock Crusher and mentioned that sometimes it's a blessing or a curse to go after this Bahemoth because he always alters the course in one way or another 1070226.jpg
I don't remember him having rear steering in previous years but he definitely has it now.

Sometimes if you ask the drivers nice enough they will show you their belly pans
    1070429.jpg
I put my camera down for 5 minutes to eat some dang ice cream and watched this bad boy flip right in front of us :annoyed:
at least it was delicate and nobody was harmed.

I'll leave you with a few more photos of one last rig (but there are many more still). This one is being driven by a pretty impressive young man. If you look long enough you'll notice something is different here...

Huh, I stand corrected but also yeah, I'll do hydros before I spend that much for vulcanized rubber that doesn't have tread on it haha

EDIT: those are the ones for the back of the arm that I already have, says don't put em on the front in the manual. Also fuck that price went up a lot

And that's why I switch companies after they yeeted themselves within months of installing. That's one of the things I like most about the Perry, even if it fails it's very unlikely to leave completely since it's not just glued onto a washer
